Ooof. Sorry to see that. I have had my car woth the valet and always tell them to back it in…..the nose on the car is long and deceiving. Luckily that’s a really easy fix….

Congrats on your new toy. That is barely a flesh wound.
As for valets, I just offer them $20 and tell them I want to park it. They usually just show me where to park

    Quick update..

Valet company did their investigation and decided to not own up to the accident. With a slight itch of frustration, I sent them photos of the curb (and surroundings) and about thirty minutes later they had back peddled and would now pay for the repair.

The car has now been at the shop since Monday and while there, I'm taking the opportunity to do paint correction, add medium tint all around, and cover the entire car with XPEL. The last step will be ceramic coating of all painted surfaces, windows, and wheels, but at a different shop.

Should be all good to go in a few weeks and photos to follow!

My most sincere thanks to everyone here for the supporting words and shop recommendations.

tip 50-100 for upfront spot u can watch them park it

sure it's a lot but probably less than your deductible

I'm from Europe and that whole valet culture seems insane.

Yup, pretty much as insane as the whole tipping culture.

Yeah it’s a funny thing but let’s believe the valet who caused it didn’t know it and therefore could not admit it. That said I’m so impressed you went to the curb and took those, now critical, pictures. It carried the day. Because it would be truly hard to prove that you inspected the car before dropping it off. Unless you did.

In Orlando many places won’t valet high end cars for this reason- things happen and they don’t want responsibility especially on an expensive car with young drivers.

A hotel valet launched my new manual Porsche over the curb after starting it. I felt so bad for him - obviously he didn’t do it on purpose.

Glad they are fixing it and as you suggest take the down time to do all the paint correction and protection. Xpel over the whole car is pricey but worth it. Truly worth it.

Sorry to hear about the damage. It's easily repairable with a new paint job. If you need a bodyshop that'll do a great job let me know. Going through an insurance carrier will most certainly trigger a report.

I always flip the valet a nice tip and tell him to show me a spot where I can self park. I haven't been refused yet.

Not a great suggestion to PPF over fresh paint though.

Of course not. Paint would have to dry properly before applying PPF.

My mistake then. I thought you were recommending that he take the time now to paint correct and PPF the whole car.

Great job in turning the situation into something positive...now the front bumper looks better than ever!

Welcome and don't sweat the little things, a lesson I learned a long time ago. Life is too short!

Couple months should do it according to shops around here.
