Don't hate me. I've owned a BMW 850Ci for over 25 years in addition to my 308/GT4. It's a comfortable, reliable, powerful, elegant highway cruiser. Some owners spend a lot of money trying to make it what its not: a Ferrari. Whatever floats your boat. One such effort replaced the relatively quiet BMW exhaust system with 599 mufflers, which actually cost less than the stock BMW mufflers!

    Here's what it sounds like:

Not my taste, but it sure sounds good. Here's the link with pictures of the installation:

    What do you guys think?

I think it is pretty cool, perhaps slightly louder than it "needs" to be. Always loved that series of BMW. I talked myself out of getting one many times.

It does not sound like any Ferrari I have heard.
    The valve timing is different,
    The port shapes are different,
    The headers are different,
    The red line is different,
    .....

About the only thing one can say is that it is loud.
    Not my taste.

I agree...It may sound closest to a 308 perhaps, but still not the same
