I believe you have used one of the South East's leading independents - is it not somewhat patronising of (both of) you to diss one of the North West's leading & longest-established independents (and implicitly at least one other long-established one) ?

Darius- Interesting that whoever serviced this 575M never got the bulletin on 5 year cambelt changes since they were swapped every 3 years. Also, there is no such thing as a factory sports exhaust until HGTC came out, and that was well after this one was built. Guess she has a Tubi.

Maranellos are dissappearing.... Well they show up too! Today this manual 575M sold for 410.000 US dollars! New record? And this car is without FHP or HGTC and no modular wheels.

That’s a lot of $$$ but I’d take it over the 05 Ford GTs, Z8s, and 993 Turbos that people pay similar money for

Previously sold at RM Sotheby's Jan 2018 Phoenix auction for $357,000. So $50k gain (and 450 miles) in 4 years.

This same car sold for 462k at auction in 2016, don’t know if that price included auction fees (u can see vin history on classic.com). Regardless this was still a strong price today for an early 2002 without fhp as @Mellow_Maranello said. I was hoping it would go higher! I keep saying I wouldn’t consider selling mine for that price, and mine has 20kmiles.

As an aside, how hard would it have been for the seller to straighten out those exhaust tips…

That's a fair criticism of my post. I hadn't heard of R&D but should have googled before commenting.

Hmmm, so the value increase is ~$111/mile driven. I'm going to fire mine up right now and drive circles around town!!

Good point! But it’s very cheap for a proper cam belt service. Either their labour rates are crazy low, or they’re skipping something, no? Or should I start shipping my 575 there?

Sold for £70,000 Seems about right for a 36K mile car with both Modulars and FHP.

Looks right on the money to me.

I also keep and eye on the F12 market, which is now daft and we're seeing asking prices for quite nice cars back over £200K again.

Sanity/Normailty left the building some time ago when it comes to the USA market which, admittedly, is rather insular due to it's importation laws.

LHD Japan import 575M F1 made sub £50K at the weekend at a UK auction. Crying out to be smuggled into America.

Is it simple? Or maybe simple people think it's simple?

As an unenlightened person, I prefer to go with the expert views that a Ferrari V12 cam belt service needs some expertise.

Good question. I like 911s and have owned six, but don't quite understand some of the values. Which means I am not evidently a real 911 guy.

For historians, this is a manual 575 with FHP and 9000 miles up for 575k USD and a 993 Turbo S with 16k miles up for 599k.

Even though I own a gated 575 with FHP, I am going to bet the Porsche is a better value, in terms of appreciation. The weird thing is that even though I drive my 575 barely a few times a year, I still wouldn't do a straight swap. In terms of class, the 575 is another league.

Occasionally I post same question....Any idea or guesstimate of number of manual 575 with FHP?
