@ajyiii nice to see you picked up this yellow 550....I'm definitely partial to the color. Hope that info I shared in the production 550 thread was helpful.
@Ferrari55whoa yes thank you for the info. Was never a yellow car guy but this one was worth it. REALLY nice car, great ownership and maintenance records and you can tell it was taken care of. The yellow in person does this car justice. I like it so much that this will be the first Fcar I do the Classiche process on.

It seemed so odd to me that the current bidder made such a monster jump from $135,500 to $175,000…..is that one of us from here (jcaspi1979)?
If there are not additional bids then it will be fascinating to see if it meets reserve at the $175k…..and if not then it would be even more interesting to know where the reserve is….;-)
IMHO, current bid is still a bargain. Knowing what I have into my project (both $$,$$$ and time), I wouldn't be surprised if this trades at a similar level as a factory manual spec for a driver.
i recall that car being RNM at a mecum auction $117k or so. i wish i could list everything i own on BaT
It sold at $181,000. It had a lot of aftermarket parts on it and the dashboard color was changed from original to blue. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Spend $30K on a 3 pedal 575M conversion and increase the value of an early 575M by around $80K. Not too bad.
I believe this was the first 575 conversion on BAT? Definitely shows the value, this car without the conversion work would have sold for less than the conversion cost (~$45,000 from what I understand) IMO. Of course can't put a price on the time and hassle involved though.
Check out the driving video starting at around 20 seconds in...watch the shifter bounce around in 4th & 3rd gear...My understanding is that this a common issue with OEM V12 (456, 550, 575, 599) due to the linkage. EAG is developing a solution to resolve.
I'll put a typical "recap here" and then perhaps more guys will comment in addition to those above. Do we know if the seller or buyer are F-chatters? I really liked this car but i'd be disingenuous if I said this wasn't higher than I thought it would go. I definitely think Dan's is even more desirable. Such a cool car and wow did it bring a trailer full of cash. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1981-delorean-dmc-12-64/
Wil DeGroot at Exoticar in NJ just finished manual conversions on a Superamerica and Two 599’s. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Maybe we can get at least one of the guys here to talk about the 599 conversion (I am not joking when I say I bet it’s the cats a$$) p.s. you know who you are….share! ;-)
Lorenzo - this is interesting. We've all been following the EAG work, but wasn't aware of anyone on the East Coast doing conversions. Any additional info or insights you can share in terms of cost, timeline etc?
I never noticed such a pronounced bounce in mine, but there is a movement leading to a high frequency buzz in 3d and 4th. I just had motor and transmission mounts replaced with vast improvement, but hints of it still there. I hope EAG is successful with a fix!
Don't have anything like that in my 550, and didn't notice it in any of the 550s I test drove before buying mine.
So based on this sale, is the market saying that a converted 575 manual transmission is about the same price as a very nice 550 ? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2002-ferrari-575m-maranello-21/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2021-11-09
