Here are some process photos of our A6G undergoing a total restoration. We are desperately in need of period magneti marelli horns as pictured and also the voltage regulator. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I will upload more current photos after I find my card reader. Hope you guys enjoy and again any help with anyone who may have the horns or voltage regulator would be greatly appreciated!

If Walter can't help, I recently purchased a similar regulator from Lennart Schouwenburg at Strada e Corsa in the Netherlands (office[at]stradaecorsa.com).

Seems that this might be the car for which I recently provided a choke arm . . .

You look to be doing a excellent job on this car which is not an easy car to restore properly.
Very nice photos keep them coming.

Was the rear axle, drive shaft, springs, front suspension and steering box painted silver when the car left the factory? I am not familiar with the A6G therefore I do not know if this was original or a personal choice. Car looks very nice.

I see that the brake fluid tank is the same as Fifties Lancias. Do you have the blue information plate that should mount on this? I believe they have been reproduced.

    Nice pix!

No, all A6G 2000 came with grey color on their chassis, steering box, suspension & driveshaft. Springs were either in black or in grey.

Here are some photos of the Magneti Marelli horns I found in my shop. They are #T219C-12V. They look different than the ones you are after for your A6G. I got them in a Maserati parts lot a few years ago that had various parts from different years. It was worth a shot!!! Let me know what you gents think.

By the way is this A6G from Craig Hillinger??????

    Ciao and best!

I find the original horn quite interesting with three electrical connections. Why three, as most horns only have two connections? Perhaps this horn has a city and country (loud and louder) mode.

i believe the third connection terminal connects to the second horn. and the two horns are used to make a combined sound.

johnei that aqua blue car is actually our car prior to restoration. It is now the original and correct color the blue was not original nor was it correct.

Are you sure that the metallic silver paint on the rear axle and chassis is original / correct?
All A6G2000 I have seen had a mid grey non metallic paint on the chassis and inner wings. All aluminum parts were bare with the steel fasteners not coated / painted either.

    See Post 12!

    Correct is a mid-grey!

Here we see the A6G 2000 Frua Spyder #1293 in "as found"-condition and restored with the correct grey-tone.

    Ciao!

    Hi Walter,

    Obviously overlooked P12.

There are more ways to get to Rome: an old saying out here.
    Some details on another Allemano...
