guys, i think it's getting outta hand here. chill. the new season is just a month plus away.
Actually he did a lousy job: I have no problem about bringing old prediction and bold statements back after a while. In fact I have done that myself and will enjoy doing it again as this season comes to a close without Massa winning the title again. But Lucky hasn't figured out the quote button on FChat yet. I tried to read his posts see where Senna3xWDC got it wrong and it is tiresome to figure out what Senna said, what the actual outcome was and what was Lucky's comment. If you want to do this, please do it right. You are referring to me and you know darn well for what you got the point: You were disputing actual facts, making up your own F1 history. Senna3xWDC got the same penalty that you complain about above. Senna3xWDC makes a lot of good points. He goes over the top with some statements, just as do others. As long as he plays within the rules, he'll stay on here. Regarding the bias: I have said it many times and I have to repeat myself: There are several mods on this forum. They don't all have the same view of things as I do. Complain to them if you think things are getting biased. And don't confuse forum (as this) with site (as in Ferrarichat). The site has about 50 mods.
I buried the hatchet with you and Bill365 a long time ago and I have no intention of resurrecting old arguments now, however he did miss an awful lot of quotes, specifically after the second FIA hearing where the facts DID come out. I supported McLaren's penalty on more than quite a few posts AFTER all the facts became known. I know that is yet another inconvenient fact that you guys wish would go away. Just because I refused to leap to conclusions before actual facts were known and not merely relying on hearsay, I have to listen to a bunch of losers question my Ferrari support? You never saw me claim that my support of the team ended if they signed a driver I don't like nor did you see me ever calling for Kimi's head as more than a few (yourself included) did. I don't mind eating crow if I was incorrect about a prediction, in fact I specifically asked folks to archive my predictions about massa for 2008 not more than a few days ago. However I have yet to hear one ounce of contrition from you for my 355 photo... Nice mis-quote. Re-read the thread and think about it, maybe you will understand
you are a liar. You are also the most naive, ill-informed and superficial individual on these boards. If you think I care the least bit about what you have to say, then you have a wildly over-inflated sense of your own significance. I have yet to see anyone on this board make such ludicrous and patently absurd statements as you have. Virtually every opinion you have ever voiced on these boards have been so demonstrably wrong, it is pathetic. I have long ago decided that your understanding of the sport is so thin and your logic so vapid that it is not worth my time to even correct your many, many errors anymore. This is my last post on this thread. I am returning back to discussing F1 with those on this board who actually have something to contribute, whether or not we agree. This, needless to say, excludes you.
That's nice to hear. And I'm sure you know as well as everyone else that a joke is no longer funny when you're hearing it for the 50th time, so I hope we won't have to 'listen' to that particular joke again. I don't think it's a case of "there could be an argument that it is cheating", it's against the rules so it IS cheating. I agree that most teams do it, or would do it if it was in the interests of the team, but that doesn't change the fact that it's breaking the rules. I also agree that the rule should be scrapped, but unless and until that happens applying team orders is cheating. I don't see any real difference between applying team orders a week before the race and doing it during the race, although in one sense setting it up a week before is perhaps more coldly calculated rule breaking than doing it in the heat of the race. But in either case it's fixing the order in which the team's drivers are going to finish and that's against the rules.
I respectfully disagree. These are tactics. This is a team. It would only make sense to me that the team would adopt the strategy that best suits the team interests. If they sat down before the race and said "OK now our goal is so and so and to achieve it we need to do so and so" I think IMO that there is nothing wrong with it. I believe there is a thin line between team orders and team tactics. Also I believe that the rule came out after team orders in the middle of a race when one driver was running away with the race and then got a call from the pits to let his teammate through, resulted in a fiasco I think we all remember. I will always remember the countless photos in the magazines of fans holding a thumb down sign and the noise of booing on tv. I don't think this is comparable in any way with Brazil. The only way the "no team orders" rule could ever work is if the teams had only one car. As long as there are two drivers and two championships, I think there are going to be team decisions. There is a thin line between those decisions and what the FIA is trying to prevent.
First of all I would like to dedicate the 5 hours of my life I waisted yesterday to dig only a small portion of your absurdities, to you and your posse. I have to say that you got lucky. I pulled your posts by date from the beginning of last year and went through them one by one. I saved the ones that were just filled with the profanity coming out of you towards other members, as there is no sense posting this here and it had nothing to do with what you called me out on. I was asked to stop by a couple of people including a moderator before I could complete the project. You can be nothing but happy about it, as there was plenty more juicy material. As another person said it makes no sense to continue with this as a point was made. If you go over what I posted, it shows really well which side you are on. And don't confuse the point here. I would never deny that you have great F1 knowledge. It is just how you use it. Few facts for you. You were one of the strongest McLaren apologists and were called that, by more members that I care to count . You made a series of wrong predictions, for which I hope you crows tasted real good. You contradict yourself time and time again. You have the nasty habit to call people names and to try to run out of here anyone who expresses an opinion other than yours. What I posted was just the tip of the iceberg. I told you before that what I said was not directed just against you but your buddies too. I was asked not to continue with this and I will not. But I want to let you know that had I continued picking through yours and your posse's posts , there would be so much dirt out that you could fill in the great lakes. I believe that you have two options. Apologize for calling me a liar or come up with hard facts as of what I lied about.
It is not against the rules. That's the difference. If it was, then other teams, especially your favorite, would be crying bloody murder and filing protests. Bending the rules and braking them are two different things.
It is against the rules. Deciding the outcome (positions) of your drivers is setting team orders. If you're telling them how they should finish then you're giving them orders. Are you that thick headed to admit when you're wrong? I've held many positions in my life that I've come to realize were wrong. I think if you were to set up a poll on the subject you'd be in the vast minority if not the only one to think it wasn't against the rules, i.e. cheating.
Team orders banned since 2002 teams will say they had employed team strategy instead an interesting form of words. The FIA on the international sporting code, which states it will punish any fraudulent conduct or any act prejudicial to the interests of any competition or to the interests of motor sport generally. Put another way, if you were in charge of said team and admitted you were bending the rules by letting X driver win over his team mate you would be punished, now what part of it don't you understand. ?
Ok, let me out it this way. If a driver has full intention to win a race and it is on its way of doing so, and the team interferes by ordering him to slow down and let his team mate, that would be manipulating the outcome of the race and braking the rules. Or cheating. Yes, Ferrari have used it before and I think this is why FIA banned it. Now, if a driver want to be dedicated to the team and knowing that he has no chance for contention for the WDC, is willing to not even put up a fight, there are no rules broken. If this is the case then the team will build its strategy around it and their tactics will reflect it. IMO this is what happened in Brazil. Ferrari did not cheat in Brazil. They just played their hand with perfection. I believe that the team orders forbidden by the rules, died the day Schumacher retired.
I really dont have to reread anything. You insulted the guy and its that simple. You have a way of insulting and demeaning people on here that is beyond reproach. Its your way and I fully understand it but I dont have to like it. You make more money than the average American or Canadian and you look down at the rest of us who do not agree with your point of view. I need not bring up the issue of a public servant yada yada yada. We all read what you said and all you keep regurgitating is me apologizing to you about your car. You conveniently forget what you said. Now Lucky has thrown a lot of it back in your face and you and your compatriot musketeers dont like it. Many (not all) of you on here who use the Senna moniker seem to have this underlying hate for Ferrari. I think we all know that many of you wanted Senna at Ferrari and it didnt happen. The same holds true now for your Senna replacement (Alonshole). It just eats you guys up that Senna and now Alonshole will never drive for Ferrari. Although you say that you are solid Tifosi, your disguises are thinly veiled in the many posts that are made on here. You accuse me of not being a true Tifoso because I didnt want Kimi at Ferrari. Yes and I have good reasons for not wanting him there and all of my reasons are in the best interests of the team unlike your reasons for wanting Alonshole there. There is much more I can say but do not have the time nor inclination to do so right now. You will also notice that I did not call you any names during my post .something you should learn to do. Just because the word is in the dictionary does not mean that you have the right to use it.
Who says Alonso will never drive for Ferrari? He won't drive for the Scuderia in 08, that's true, but he has many years left in his career. Yeah, what a shame: That looser Kimi just won the title for the Scuderia. I'm sure that must have disappointed the whole team. And now he is most likely going to do it again. I understand that a true Tifoso would never want Kimi driving for the team...
I like Brit's winning, I drive a Ferrari I want Ferrari to win not ideal for me, but hell I will back any driver in a Ferrari. Senna'sx3WDC post's and many other's for that matter with Ferrari tags IMO reflect a objective view, in most cases just looking at issues from a stand point of a no baised stand point which in all fairness is how it should be. The problems seem to stem when folk's fail to see reason because of there blind hate or total obsession of there chosen team. Take Lewis for example: A Brit in the wrong team for me ok, but if I start to defend him or rate him I'am accused of supporting the wrong team .. he is an amazing driver I wish him success but that does not mean I want him to beat Kimi or Massa just give them a great run for there money.
I know he is not your best friend, but 355 is not trying to bash Kimi in any way. All he is saying is that he does not like him and because of the way HE sees it it was not good for the team. I don't agree that Kimi is not good for the team , but can we please get in the same timeframe. People here are saying that Massa is will accomplish nothing this year based on how he did against his teammate in his first year in F1. Now we are bashing people because of their opinions expressed before the season started, when we all know what happened. Because MS had questionable antics in the Ferrari years ago, now we should keep quiet about Alonshole or LH. C'mon. When we are making comparisons we should keep objective of when a coment was made or action took place. As of right now, today, this year, it does not look like Alonshole will ever drive for Ferrari. Why? Well according to the man himself, Renault are in no position fighting for a title this year, and he went over there to help the team get there. Now it is only logical that he would expect to achieve this and eventually rip the benefits of it=become a WDC again. This would pretty much plant him in Renault in '09. But here comes the spoiler. I don't like Alonshole at all but never denied his great abilities. I would rate him in the top 3 on the grid today easily. However if he does not stay in this position for the next two years, and there is a very good chance he wouldn't) then his chances going to Ferrari are slim to none. So in my opinion it is pretty safe at this moment to say that he would never drive for Ferrari. I personally would never want him on my favorite team, and it would be the year I take a break from following F1 as many here have also claimed to do.
I'll back ANY driver in a Ferrari except Alonso. His antic's in '07 cemented my dislike for him I dont care how good of a driver he is, he's a snake in the grass. If I'm not mistaken I read awhile back that even Luca commented that he does not see Alonso driving for Ferrari, ever.
And I'am sick of word play with regards to FA he is no more of a hole than the folks calling him that. IMO A great driver regardless of his snake like ways.
Being a great driver only get's you so far, a great driver must also have self moral's and some sense of ethic's, FA has shown none of those trait's.
OK, I agree that the McLaren team just had a blip last year and as it was pointed out earlier should not be called McCheaters. Fine I will not do it again.(unless they cheat just as blatantly this year as they did last) But Alonshole was an ****** in Renault and proved an even bigger ****** last year and in my book will always be one. This is just what I think of the guy. It has nothing to do with his ability as a racecar driver . It is just my opinion, based on what he has done and the manner he has carried himself. Anyone saying that I or anyone else in here is an ****** just because of what we think of the guy or because we have different opinions on some subjects is arrogant and low.
I have said this for quite a while. Im sure he will open and insert foot again soon. Infact he is already talking bad about his car. He should shut up and whip that Ferrari manual out of his back pocket and put it into play with the Renault. But then again Stepney is not around with the updated version
