I don't think he can see Max's delta but he can definitely see his own. If his was down (and he was only marginally ahead of Max on the first run), he could do what he did...
Max is still so far behind Ham as a driver. Yes ham was in the fastest car but Bottas and Rossberg are no slough and neither could ever get the measure of Ham while showing flashes of brilliance. Ham is 7x WDC because he is more than fast. Max is just fast but lacks depth of game.
Careful man. Many tifosi here have switched to RB fans. They may switch to Aston Martin fans next year, who knows.
This may have been mentioned elsewhere and if so, I apologize. Schumacher got in big trouble when he parked his car at Monaco - is there any possibility the FIA will investigate RB covering for, and Checo allegedly admitting to crashing on purpose?
Too late. Race in books. FIA would need to present case and then RedBull could act, legal, suit etc. Messy. Max idiocy covers that already. They indict themselves does RedBull. Max too stupid to keep it quiet as now it’s team structure vs Max and idiot family! Soap opera idiocy! Some title year again lol. Overspend and team driver soap opera! Go RedBull LOL !
Max didn't say **** though did he? This is just your fantasy running wild again when it comes to Red Bull. All Max said was "I already gave my reasons" and when in the interview he kept saying "it's already dealt with within the team". Sky kept pushing for more (as Dutch media mentioned the Monaco thing) and asked Max if it had anything to do with Monaco. "I'll leave that up to you".
A drivers spat and the occasion to dig up skeletons. It wasn't a famous weekend for Red Bull, as far as PR was concerned, that's for sure !
Max lost the respect of a lot people yesterday, including myself. Let's be real. Yesterday was all about Max showing the team that he could do what he wants, that they can't reprimand or control him because he's too big of an asset to the team, and that he can go rogue if he wants. It had nothing to do with Perez. He's being foolish. Drivers have long memories and there will be a moment that Perez makes his car wide, and Max will pay a price for what he did to him.
That same scenario was already played by Sebastian Vettel against Mark Webber less than a decade ago. Neither Helmut Marko nor Christian Horner could control his tantrums ! It seems that Red Bull grows small brats who later get out of control ! Red Bull is an excellent team to be in, but only if you are the leader it seems.
Is it fact that checo intentionally crashed in qualifiyin? That honestly sounds like BS to me. It’s really hard to believe that he did - what was his goal? Pole and win at Monaco? He was never going to win the title, he’s usually .500 off Max in Qualifying and further in the race. seems far fetched that he would risk being dumped by the team, which might be a Reasonable response.
That seemed reasonable to aim at when you drive one of the best cars on the grid. The championship may be out of reach for Perez, but tempting the occasional GP win was realistic. If fact, that's exactly what he delivered !
Did you see Lewis(inside) and Ocon(outside) going into the turn on lap18? Lewis said "He just turned into me!" and Ocon cut-off Lewis. Similar to what happened at Interlagos 2022 in the Senna Esses with Max(inside) and Lewis(outside) where Lewis turned into Max.
Maybe, maybe not. I thought his behaviour had improved over these last 2 years, so yesterday came as a shock.
Same for me. It may be to early to say, but Max reminds me of Senna and Schumacher in terms of raw talent. He was a bit "all sort" in his early years, but that was understandable since he was still very young when he arrived in F1. I thought he had tamed his exhuberance without losing his speed, which is good. Success seems to go to his head.
