An easy solution is that in the last five laps, accidents or not, there will be no yellow flags, red flags, safety cars (virtual and otherwise)... it will just be pedal to the metal, and to the winner goes the spoils. And if you don't have the balls for blood sport, take up tennis.

If those “blood sport” rules had been applied in 2021, Max would’ve gotten positively smoked at Abu Dhabi.

Dutch supermarket chain Jumbo will continue to sponsor Max despite litigation of money laundering.

For those interested, you can watch Max do the Virtual Le Mans here, also Grosjean is in and plenty other profession racing drivers.

Total ****show from the money laundering and broke Motorsport Games run' Virtual Le Mans. Several total server crashes in the middle of the race, disconnects from drivers that can't go back in, stream the race is horrible bitrate so that it looks 15 years old...

Yet charge teams 2.5K to enter, have brilliant commentary, a huge variety of great racing drivers and champions and virtual racers.

Max was leading by over a minute and the game disconnected him. By the time he got back in, it didn't register his pitstop he just did, so he had to pit again. He was catching up and then suffered another disconnection and they called it quits as they're too far behind.

This is not the first time this happened, previous ran Virtual Le Mans also suffered from the same.

Apparently Max just said on livestream that this is the last time he'll do Virtual Le Mans so long it's hosted on Rfactor.

    What a piss poor advert.

I hope this doesn’t get him in trouble with Red Bull and he loses his drive there because of the bad language…

Losing Verstappen would be a huge loss. A lot of people tuned in only to see how Max was doing. These server crashes and netcoding issues have been around since rFactor 1. It's pathetic they haven't addressed these issues at all. Every other Sim has managed to make steps forward to have a more stable platform, but not rFactor.

Exactly. These issues have been happening in high level events as well for the last 3 years...the same ones, each time. Also worthy to note that Max definitely wasn't the only one to complain, everyone in the race agreed with his points.

iRacing last week held a ROAR before the 24, a 10% 24 hour race. Over 1500 people participated. Zero issues. Rfactor had 180 connections and crashed constantly and had loads of performance issues. Next week iRacing will have the 24hour daytona. Last year they had nearly 4000 teams and over 15000 racers. No issues.

Rfactor is supposed to hold the Indy 500 later this year...also a high profile event with high profile drivers. With them having run out of money completely, I wish them good luck fixing their issues.

Should be a big warning to the likes of the ACO, Indycar, Nascar and even F1 for selling their license to the highest bidder. These companies instantly won't have competition anymore, so can do what they want. Sub-par product that loads buy? Why bother improving, money is already made.

What they really should do is have the license open and just charge a percentage to anyone that wants to use the license. Competition breeds excellence.

I was surprised to see them using rfactor for this race. Iracing seems to be the most consistant out of the bunch. I prefer ACC, wish they had prototypes.

could be worse. Could get angry on an internet forum or raging at a tv over a sport you don't even participate in.

Or maybe having passion in whatever you do could be considered a positive thing?

+1 As is said so often..."the cars may be fake, but the racing is real". These people participating in these races, as Max said, put a stupid amount of effort in to try and win this. The level of competition is extremely high. There aren't any full course yellow to bunch the field up. There aren't any red flags (well, there is in rfactor when their servers crash for the umpteenth time). There is no weight (dis)advantages for drivers. There are no failures for pushing a car beyond it's limits.

It's 24 hours of the top teams of sim racing and MANY real world racing drivers/champions all driving flat out to see whose best.

Grosjean is paid by Motorsport Games (a fact, not an excuse), so him being seemingly the sole person to excuse this mess isn't the best "but what about" statement from the usual. Pretty much every participant in the series fully agreed with Max. A huge majority of sim racers fully agreed with Max, even those that explicitly said they think he's a **** normally.

Max doesn't "need" to do this. He's not getting paid. He's doing this because it's his hobby, it's racing. He cut his holiday short to do this race. The least he could ask for is a reliable service especially given how many similar issues rfactor has had and continues to have, when there are services out there that do not have these draw backs, but the ACO/Indycar etc sold their license to the highest bidder instead of the best candidate, or even simply rent out the license to which ever entity or entities want to use it.

Max has also said that Sim Racing is in many ways more difficult than real Formula 1.

I think one of the things you'd be dealing with, especially having a job such as being an F1 driver, you're racing against guys that do sim racing as an actual job...i.e. they do get to practise, 6, 7, 8 hours (or more) per day, at any moment they wish, on any track they like...within a few minutes they're up and running and ready to practise.

Its an online game, hosted over the internet, a gamer would know those things happen. you get over it, not cry about it.

He wasnt this upset when Masi gave him a title by breaking the rules / human mistake did he? no exactly...

Grosjean owns the team that won the race....... Why should he not be happy his team won? i dont remember Redbull / Max or max fans being unhappy in 2021 in real life when rules was not followed / human mistake / problems occurred...... so why should he be unhappy about it on a computer game?

Yeah cause on a computer game the race director and stewards AI dont pick and choose sides, they really are nuetral and dont really if ever make mistakes.....
