That's my feelings against Todt, Mercedes, and the FIA agenda started in 2014 onwards. Todt had an axe to grind against Ferrari, hence he got it.
All you can bring up is another conspiracy theory. Like I said before, you are clutching straws. It's bordering on paranoia.
You are correct, Ogier won 8 times, but only 6 in a row. There are many examples of multi-winners in different sports, and I never heard it was bad for the sport. Agostinin, Rossi in Moto GPs, Porsche, Audi and Toyota at Le Mans, etc ... It's only critised by those who don't see their favourite win, and then look for excuse to explain it.
You've hit the nail on the head there William, Rossi was the most powerful force for good in MotoGP history - no one was complaining, he is/was widely loved!
If Rossi had won his championships by simply running away from the rest of the field at each race only because his bike was technically superior, there would have been a lot of complaining.
That happened with Giacomo Agostini and his MV Agusta taking many titles, the Italian bike clearly above the competition. It took years for the 2-stroke Japanese bikes to overthow the 4-cyl 4-stroke superiority. And then what ? Agostini joined Yamaha, and still won against the other 2-stroke !!! That shut up the critics ...
Which only proves that the adoration is for the greatness of the driver and not (or a lot less) for the machinery they are driving
I just find it ridiculous that it drives people so mad that it spoils your pleasure in following a sport. It's not WWIII . I only bother about stuff that really matters. F1 isn't one of them.
22,000 posts and you're not bothered about F1 ? Our consultancy assists business and sports people in reaching peak performance, ranging from FTSE companies to Premiership football and motorsport. Human behaviour is a central core and we see resentment and it's consequences on a frequent basis. So yes, Todt's quiet resentment has been of interest.
F1 is only one of my interests, but I am not polarised to the point of hating or adoring its actors. I am unable of such behaviour; it's just not me. Resentment is a negative feeling, nothing good comes from it. I don't get upset by silly little things that don't affect me. I just enjoy following F1, knowing that nothing is perfect.
100% It's surprising how many world class people haven't fully grasped this fact, let alone how to remove the cause and effects of resentment from their subsconcious patterns of behaviour. Todt may come to realise his underlying motivation in years to come, while rocking on his veranda chair, and reflect on how it affected F1.
Verstappen explains "absurd" F1 sim in private jet story Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has laughed off Helmut Marko's suggestions that he is installing a racing simulator on his private jet, saying it was a misunderstanding.
It's being build in his motorhome instead. I was wondering how he was going to solve the ping issue on a jet...nevermind the complexity of getting the simulator approved to be in the cabin, the cost for that would be insane.
Max, the guy we're constantly being told has zero marketability, signs yet another personal sponsor. Heineken this time. At the RBR launch it was confirmed he's also got EA as a personal sponsor now. Max Verstappen on Twitter: "Incredibly proud and honoured to be joining forces with the iconic Dutch brand @Heineken for a long term partnership More coming https://t.co/NelO0ExvGs" / Twitter
Well, terrible examples. WRC and Le Mans are still trying to recover from that. Although in the case of Le Mans it was not that someone was winning too much but that there was only one big team.
I can see the ad IF Lewis signed and promoted Heineken's 0.0. "Heineken 0.0, like Lewis's 2022 career win stats.....0 pole positions and 0 wins for the entire year...be like Lewis Hamilton!" LOL........
You know its crazy that Hamilton is still more marketable with no wins than Max with the championship.
You'd hope so; after assigning a global marketing companies to manage him over the past 15 years. I'd be a tad annoyed if I wasn't the most famous active racing driver, spending all that money building my brand. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will be shocked if Hamilton accepts to promote any sort of alcohol; that doesn't fit with his image, IMO.
