I think the exact oposite, one of the reason why there was also much interest in helping elton was precisely because he was black. Even Eclestone admited it, in a sport always searching for new fans, Hamilton was a gift. Before him i don't recall ever seing interest from black folks in the sport, not ever, now, you go to chats and it looks like they watch it for ages, when in fact they all started with lewis (when i say all, i refer to at least 90%). So the notion that hamilton had it more difficult for being black is BS. He could be whiter than snow white, if he didn't had the talent, and the people to support him, he would be driving a lorrie. You say he was poor? Gilles Villeneuve lived in a ****ing trailer with his family because he sold the house to be able to aford a car to race!, in winter, his wife needed a blowtoarch to unfreeze the water pipes in the van....he was racing and developing his own snowmobile in order to get some money to race in a ****y backmarker team, (not the CRG sponsored by mercedes like elton did), and still, he won a race and got noticed. Lancelot is as priveleged as one can be, he has had all the help one can have, and still he sucks big time. being poor? heck Kimi didn't even had a toilet inside his house! And he made it.
How about this...Max is a great driver. Lewis is a great driver. Easy. And they BOTH walked 6 miles to school in the snow, uphill both ways, with one shoe.
There was only interest in helping HAM once he had demonstrated that he had the talent, and that's the bit that's hard. With no role models and no money or backing, they had to make that jump. They had to break the glass ceiling first. And you don't have to rubbish anyone else's talent to recognise Gilles'.
No one is rubishing anything, i'm just pointing out that there are many other drivers who had a very hard time, that didn't come from wealthy families, some more, some less than hamilton. It's also true that hamilton has had (from a very young age) the support of mercedes benz, and most often than not, has raced with top material, unlike some others (like Robert kubica that was just as good if not better). Also pointing out the fact that being black was in no way a handicap for him, quite the oposite probably.
^^^ So "Lewis sucks big time" is not rubbishing someone? And you should look up Kubica's history as a junior. He was hardly driving crap cars on his way to F1
You forgot Gary Brabham, son of 3 time World Champion Jack. Unable to qualify for a Formula One race, but was able to get charged and convicted / jailed for raping a 6 year old girl.
Ok man, now you're getting tiring. It doesn't matter what and when RB contributed to Max in this case. Max dad and mom raced man. Vs no one in Hamilton's family connected to racing!!!!! Stop giving yourself a headache trying to make that situation equal. It will never be equal, one has an advantage. Just let this one go man.
Maybe you should be the one doing some research...it's about time you actualy learnt something about the subject you're speaking.
I wouldn't hold not being able to qualify a Life against any driver. The car was a hopeless case. Bruni Giacomelli ( a F2 start in his days) tried 12 times, G. Brabham twice with the same result. Designed by ex-Ferrari engineer Rochi, the W12 was completely unreliable, often unable to do a warming up lap without breaking down.
I wouldn't blame Michael Andretti for failing in F1. The circumstances didn't favour a good start at McLaren. Being a pawn in the Dennis-Senna tug of war didn't help, added to that some marital problems at that period.
Read this... Robert Kubica - Wikipedia PS. It's "learned" PPS. Did Kubica have as many advantages as Max or Lewis? I don't know. But you implied the guy had NO advantages and did it all on strength of talent alone. That is clearly NOT the case.
If he had been any good (instead of being a chancer like Madonado and Ocon), we would have a Polish GP on the calendar by now ...
