How Verstappen's driving style is similar to Michael's unique style: How Max REINVENTED Schumacher's Driving Style - YouTube
Fascinating! Similar styles that control rotation to emphasize the opportunity to get on the throttle sooner It's ALL about exit speed (as we well know).
Oh my lord…make it stop… The same guys in the Hamilton thread…saying the same thing. All in a not very veiled attempt to say that Lewis won because of a dominant car and Max wins because he’s brilliant. Simple question: Could Max win consistently in the Mercedes? Obviously we’ll never know but the answers should be fun.
It's been 9 days since anyone posted in this thread, nothing about what you are talking about. Make it stop, but you keep bringing it up out of thin air.
Oh Max. Shut up and drive. Fans are allowed to determine what they like or don’t like in F1, without your limited view of life lol! Verstappen: "You're not a real fan" if you don't appreciate Red Bull F1 dominance Max Verstappen says "you're not a real fan" if you don't appreciate Red Bull's domination of Formula 1 in 2023, and instead see it as a negative.
Along with 5 guys that think they are THE FC experts and anyone who tires of their opinion (and it is simply their opinion) is a troll. Pot…Kettle. Go back to the Hamilton thread, please.
Hold on. Aren't you the one coming here to moan that...people aren't talking about Hamilton? You moan when people talk about Hamilton. You moan when people don't talk about Hamilton. Make up your mind, man.
Nevertheless... a. it would have been interesting to know if Max was of the same opinion between 2014 and 2020? What about "being a real fan appreciating Mercedes dominance?" b. "with great power comes great responsability"; think about it twice, Max. As for myself, I am not annoyed, but honestly, it IS annoying....we all crave for a competitive season: a fair fight, but no holds barred...2023 has indeed been boring, whatever Max might say. Rgds
RedBull were OVERT in their distaste of previous 'dominant' its only about the car- Mercedes lol. Max really needs to shut it and drive. I can decide rather easily what I 'appreciate' or like in F1. The words are not so different. Real fans and all lol. Max knows what 'real fans' are? Only he sets that for us 'real fans'. Really. Thats the most pathetic statement out of him yet. He was not at all missed on the podium last week by a large group of F1 fans around the world. Poor chap has to defend his 'domination' by telling us fans what to think. Bad optics. He and Marko...........what a pair with their mouths lol.
Some people still don't accept that F1 is a meritocracy rewarding the best team with a period of dominance. Too many approach F1 with the preconceived idea that the team they support should win. That's the "football fans" mentality, which doesn't take into account the technology involved in F1. When that doesn't occur, they start crying foul, call for the rules to be changed, suspect cheating, pretend there is a conspiracy, etc... Reading the threads on FChat shows the level of partisanship on the subject: Mercedes was the bogeyman, now it's Red Bull. F1 is a series where a team can get the technical advantage and dominate for several years. The group of engineers who designs a faster, more reliable car than the opposition delivers long-lasting success to their employers. Mercedes enjoyed 7 years of constant success, and the signs are that Red Bull is taking over from them, like it or not. Dominance is there to stay, unless the FIA succumbs to pressure and starts penalising success, as seen in different series. I bet Liberty would love that !!!
I have no problem with dominance. The RedBull is an amazing car and Max is superbly capable in it. Thats where it ends. He has zero to say about how fans feel. Move on drive and enjoy what dominance brings Max. The fans are rather savvy about how they feel and dont really need his input to decide. His blanket statement is ignorant.
I think the new generation of F1 followers, brought in by Liberty, Netflix and so on, is a new breed of "fans". I suppose that a new winner at each GP would suit them fine, and maintain their interest enough for them to stay in the long run. But I can understand Max' remark, and why he questions the lack of recognition. Those who object to Red Bull's string of success don't really measure the amount of hard work they put up over many years to get where they are. Red Bull went through terrible phases at time during their unfortunate association with Renault power; then they worked to bring their partnership with Honda to become a force to be reckon with. Behind the success they enjoy today, there are years of constant effort, and they deserve recognition, not scorn. . Where were the other players during that time?
They all work quite hard, winning or not. Thats not the issue at all. Max wasnt missed last weekend and the sport was better for it and most rational folks know it, in the midst of another era of 'domination'. The change in competition with different teams fighting closely is what the new fans had been missing for sometime now. Surely that is not hard to understand. It was a breath of fresh air in a dull utterly predictable yet incredible effort by RedBull season. Certainly you see the point Max is clearly raising with his statement. I dont care how defensive he was in the press after making it. The new fans want 2021 every weekend. They will never get it but no one was unhappy with a 3 team fight almost to the last lap. Except Max LOL
If Sir Lewis Hamilton said that, he would be labeled 500 diferrent names buy now. Max is a hypocrite. Yeah I said it. Some here trying to sweep it under the rug. He need to shut up. If people don't like you and RB, eat it. And shut up.
The "unfortunate association with Renault power" gave RB four constructor's titles and four diver's titles - whereas McLaren got "only" two manufacturer's titles and three driver's titles with TAG Porsche, and Williams got "only" two manufacturer's titles and one driver's title with Honda... so if the association with Renault was unfortunate, what should be said about TAG Porsche for McLaren and Honda for Williams...
I was obviously talking about the hybrid era, during which Renault power proved to be pathetic. The adoption of the hybrid formula in 2014 was a game changer for F1. Renault never really mastered the technology, and was successively rejected by Red Bull and McLaren. They are still behind now !!
