The FIA seems to practice self reflection and self correction here. Perhaps a good example?

Wow.........uh boring you are. Just shut it and drive. Needless. You are utterly dominating and still lacking class. Not certain others are as crass for no reason. You lost 1 race and issue this lol. Just a punk. I was thinking he has matured. Zero evidence. Hyper sensitive and says he is not lol. Over paid useless hypocrite.

Verstappen: Red Bull detractors "can suck on an egg" after F1 Japanese GP pole
Max Verstappen reckons that Red Bull's detractors following Formula 1's Singapore round can "suck on an egg" after his crushing pole position at the Japanese Grand Prix.

The team's drop-off in performance raised suspicions that it had been affected by recent technical directives, namely TD18 pertaining to flexi-wings and a revised TD39 that related to flexing floors, although the team pointed out that there was no correlation.

Verstappen reckoned that his pole had put those rumblings to bed and that he was "fired up" to atone from the previous weekend's struggles.

"We had a bad weekend. Of course, then people start talking about 'ah, it's all because of the technical directives'. I think they can go suck on an egg," Verstappen replied to a question from Autosport asking if his pole underlined a statement of intent.

I see only one person beeing hyper sensative here....
    And immature.
He is totally allowed to take a stab at the brainless d*cks that were, not hindered by any intelligence or actual knowledge, throwing accusations around again after one bad race and a new directive that happened to be coinside with this race.
But I think he would have a good laugh at your little rant if he could arsed to read it.

If Sir Lewis Hamilton said that. It would be the worst thing ever. Now after Max said it, I don't hear nothing.

Well, these kind of headlines are taken from a longer interview, and usually they are done so to provoke. (which works obviously)
People like DF1 and many many others take the bait without looking at the context, but if you actually look at the interview and the way he said it, you would see that it has no weight behind it at all, just a loose remark. So the reactions are usually way out of line.

Lewis has a legion of fans, Max has a legion of fans and other high profile drivers have them.
And with every single one of those there are people you can have a good interesting discussion with and there are also a lot of low IQ idiots that defend "their" hero to absolute ridiculous levels.

I always was a (and still am) a Ferrari fan, but now Max came along and I support him as well.
Lewis was never my cup of tea (because he wasn't driving a Ferrari) but you can't deny he is one of the greats, yes also done with a dominant car but you still have to actually do it.
The person Lewis is outside of the sport doesn't resonate with me at all, but people are different so I don't take offence or anything.

The ongoing battle between camps on here is at times hilarious and at times quite annoying.
All I know is nobody on here knows both Lewis or Max personally, nor are they at team meetings, nor are they certified psygologists as far as I tell from the reactions.
So all so called "knowledge" and "facts" are basicly unfounded and therfore useless.

I rarely comment here unless I have really nothing to do (like now) but most of the times I just laugh or sigh and go on with real life.

Anyway, these are just my views and you can take them or leave them, I don't care.

So as you were and have a good day.

    Great post man.
I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of many here. Max loose comment are just that. Loose comments. When Sir Lewis Hamilton makes a loose coment, its not called a loose comment. It means something different, its a movement, he is forever degraded.

Useless post: you don't need to be a certified psychologist to see that:

    a. Max is one of the greatest talents of the last 50 years on track.
    b. That he really should shut the f..k up and drive, as everytime he says something ANYONE can see that he totally lacks class and education; I'm actually not sure he can even read and write. A most despicable character. Totally rough around the edges. Unworthy ambassador for his sport.
    c. These guys earn some rather consequent sums of money from the fact that they are public figures, and that there are a lot of paying idiots around; so whether they like it or not, their image is their capital; which means they belong to the public, who is entitled to think what he thinks.

To sums up the guy pretty well: he might be the fastest man alive, he might earn millions, he nevertheless IS a d1@#head.
And no need for a psychologist or psychiatrist or shrink or whatever: that is plain for anybody to see.

Opinions are like @$$holes, everyone has one.

That being said, Max really doesn't care how he comes off to people around the world(whether good or bad), at least his honesty is showing as opposed to appeasing the social media crowd, media pundits and keyboard warriors like us.

Sometimes honesty is best for those that like it as opposed to being "fake."

That's why I liked Kimi so much for his character on and off the track because he was honest about himself instead of trying to be liked by everyone.

I loved Kimi for who he was also, but he had a class that Max will never have. He was his own man. Like him or not.
Everytime he says anything, Max just comes out plain stupid.

So, to sum it all up, according to the FC experts:
Max is a d&&head (and possibly illiterate ), speaks his mind, but is honest (and lacks "Class" which is a big deal around here)
Lewis is a d$$khead, speaks his mind, but speaks about actual issues that certain FC members are uncomfortable with, so is therefore "fake" and pandering to "social media".

Too bad the 2 best drivers in recent history are so flawed and disappointing.

Maybe, but class comes with age or maturity. Max is only 25(??) years old....so he's still a kid in the grandiose scheme of the F1 global picture and everything that surrounds it.

Maybe he changes or maybe not, he will still be liked for his honesty on and off the track.

When you get to your 50's or older, then you can see AT people or see THRU people for who they really are. It comes with age unfortunately.

As far as I can remember, Kimi never said things like "they can go suck an egg" or anything along those lines: he never said anything showing that he despised people.
He was his own man: like him or not, he wouldn't change. I'm perfectly allright with that. And I like Kimi a lot. Like the great A.J Foyt used to say "My best P.R is my right foot".
Trouble I have with Max is that he still behave like a five years old kid. Not that I believe that Marko would help...I'm still having a good laugh thinking about the times when they ditched Renault, only to come back begging on their knees...jumping out of the airplane without a parachute.
Perhaps this is a lesson of our times: groom a kid since he is six months old to be a Grand Prix driver, and this is the result you have...in french, the usual expression is "singe savant", more or less "clever monkey", meaning they know everything, and don't understand a thing.
And I shall spare you the common nickname of the french fans for Max, for the fear of being banned for at least a year (= profanity)
I'm old enough to remember the memory of guys like Fangio, Clark, Stewart...imagine Fangio saying "they can go suck an egg?". Different times I suppose.

Fancy quotes do not make you smart I'm afraid, but it is good to see you know how to use google.
    I found one too:
"Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the bird is going to sh*t on the board and strut around like it won anyway."

Judging by your assessment of Max it is clear you have no psychological skills at all, yet you seem to be able to judge someones character by a few tv fragments.
If you have seen any personal interviews or one of his iRacing events on Twitch you would not be saying these things it is as simple as that.

But I make a habbit of not being lured into a slagfest with a child or someone suffering from the Dunning-Kruger effect on the internet, because I do have better things to do with my time.

So I'm going to use my favorite function on this board which is the quiet button, or better known as the "ignore" button.

    Bye now! ;-)
