I mean interviews in general are not genuine. An interview is supposed to be rehearsed first, the questions examined, the boundaries established before it starts. It's a private conversation in total confidence and trust between participants. It's not at all what the FIA imposes to drivers and principals in F1.
I loved the suck an egg comment. Way to go Max. I want any driver to respond that way in that same situation. If Lewis Hamilton was told by the media everyone thought he was fast because of the Mercedes engine, and after a new TD came out his car was down 10 kph but he still won by 45 seconds, he would be in every right to tell everyone to "suck an egg". This is a huge middle finger to everyone saying RB were cheating or Max's performance is only because of the car. His performance proves the Red Bull's dominance is not because of legally-illegal parts. The FIA's potential attempt to slow Red Bull has failed. And Max is on another planet when it comes to driver performance. 3/4 of a second faster than Perez on a drivers track. He basically said 'you need a car half a second faster than mine just to compete with me'.
Best post of the last few pages ^^ YES ... there were those who were convinced anew, that Red Bull's success this season was because of "cheating". It simply MUST be cheating, don't ya know ... because Max was beating Hamilton! Well guess what ... those people were dead WRONG, and Verstappen's comment was clearly direct at THEM. So it's no big surprise, that it's the Hamilton fans who are now offended.
this is just too funny ... Verstappen: "Anyone who thought we were cheating, even accused us of cheating ... can go suck an egg." Those who accused Red Bull of cheating, now proven wrong: "We're offended by that comment!" LMAO
You can start with this. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/hamilton-deserves-more-respect.639302/page-271 And what's wrong with you?
You can't provide a single post? Instead you give a full page and I saw nothing about people complaining about Lewis wearing headphones.
So one comment was found, angry but not offended but fine. I'll give that to you. Technically that would make it "a hater gets offended" rather than the plural that was proposed. I was assuming that he would be attacked by many people who hated him listening to music not a single outlier. Good to know that's the standard though. In other news, Max just won number 48. Closing in on Prost and Vettel rapidly. Next milestone is quite a step away. 28 wins in 2 seasons (so far), 13 poles converted to a win in a row (a new record, previously held by Michael).
exactly. I find this **** so funny. Hope Verstappen continues his villain era for quite a bit longer.
Not that this is a big deal, but I thought it was pretty cool that Max was with his team chatting with all this mechanics as he waited for his interview with Damon Hill. Not just the typical high fives and hugs, but actual conversing with all of them. It's no surprise they are dominating, him and his team (his side of the garage) has so much chemistry right now.
Newey in his book writes how the best champions are those who communicate with their team well...They spend a lot of time together and for both the driver and mechanics, there is definitely an element of emotional/mental support in good and bad times.
A large female singing comes to mind lol https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/how-verstappen-can-win-his-third-f1-title-in-qatar/10524749/ How Verstappen can win his third F1 title in Qatar Max Verstappen is set to clinch his third Formula 1 title in a row in the Qatar Grand Prix following his 13th victory of the 2023 season in Japan. Verstappen's win in Japan, where Perez had a nightmare race and retired, left the Dutchman with 400 points scored to his team-mate's 223. With 180 points available in the remaining six races, Verstappen's 177-point advantage means he needs to score just three more points before the season ends to wrap up his third consecutive title. The next race, the Qatar Grand Prix, is the first of two consecutive sprint weekends in a row, meaning a maximum of 34 points will be available for a driver who wins the sprint and Sunday's races and secures the fastest lap in the main event. But even a perfect weekend won't help Perez's cause, as Verstappen will be champion if he leaves Qatar with a 146-point gap.
Below a quick table I made up to compare some of the all time greats - what they had achieved at Max' age as of today... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rock stars tend to die at age 27 (27 Club) ... yeah this post has no relevance to the thread or forum
What I'm seeing there is that the ones pulling in the records early on are young good drivers in machines designed by Adrian Newey. All the best, Andrew.
With 6 mores races left in the season, Max can take 3rd place in most wins should he win the remaining 6 races. Image Unavailable, Please Login
