Not new to you but for me: Having been deep in the back of the South Island in 2016- tv, phone, news free- I just watched the 2016 Spanish, Max keeping his tyres forever, and managing Hakkinen for 20 laps just juicing it free every time they entered the finish straight like an old Master doing it as he does now! Just astonishing!!! And Marko on the podium claiming validation and Horner's wife and child cheering, and faces in the crew I recognise now. And even the now Cretin Croft impressed, doing a superb commentary, before he got so full of himself and Cretined out, with a just as good Martin. I've just caught up with you all and now can comprehend when this force of nature débued.
A cool interview type video with Max Verstappen. Chris Harris was determined to figure out the secret behind Max's speed. Max stated multiple times that every car is different, even within the same series and it's about adapting to that car.
Watching now, ktu is going to be so mad when he hears that max doesnt like the Reb bull but adapts to drive it
Anyone that dislikes Max should watch this. No BS or ego massaging, empty questions or things of the sort.
I enjoyed this. Great insite from Max and Harris. Good for Ford to put this together. I know in most cases its not possible but more of these videos should be done with top drivers. Preferably the younger ones as the older champions have many.
Funny Max say that and then says the car felt great after certain poles or wins. Him spending all these years at RB and still has a car he doesn't like, shows a lack of developement skill, if i'm interpeting it correctly. But then RB said the car is catered to him, to a way he likes to drive it, so there's that. Still, great video and that GTD is nice.
It sure beats the heck out of any interview done in a chair with a microphone in the face. I would love to hear how different drivers explain what makes them great or successful, especially if it can be shown in a car on a race track.
No surprise he prefers being in Red Bull - the one driver team. Russell would be faster than him anyway.
Truth. I'm not in general a fan of Max but thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Must be kind of like how people can be different at 'work' than when they're just being people.
It was illuminating to see him shape his preferred corner line. One could see where he might tangle with another driver taking a more traditional line. I’d love to see something similar with Charles or Oscar. Technical analysis rather than the typical psychological blather from the Sky crew.
His first question immediately "is there a camber on the corner" also says a lot how his brain works. That ''sighting lap'' in the Mustang GTD was out of this world.
Most dominant seasons in F1. Even if Mclaren wins every race after the summer break they still wouldn’t be in the top 3 in their current form.
[nini@scuderiafemboy] Chris Harris: “the thing you need to know about max is that most people in the UK have got him wrong [..] frankly he’s one of us. he’s a very uncomplicated man who happens to have been born with a set of skills to drive a racing car in a manner none of us can understand.” Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
