Max needs an anger management plan - https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/139921/verstappen-couldve-done-damage-in-pole-miss Max Verstappen says he "could have done some damage" if somebody had said the wrong thing to him following Daniel Ricciardo's pole celebrations ahead of Formula 1's Mexican Grand Prix. Verstappen's father Jos said last week that losing pole was made even worse for Max because he had to watch team-mate Ricciardo celebrate. Jos said: "He was irritated because he missed out on pole and because of the car, but also because of Ricciardo's exuberance celebrating pole." Verstappen played down his father's comments, instead pointing to problems with his Renault engine. "I was mainly very angry because of the problems I had with my engine during qualifying," he said when asked by Autosport. "That weekend I was clearly fastest, but for 75 seconds I wasn't. I was literally pissed off. "And of course everything little thing that comes with it makes me even more angry. "I wouldn't even say it. But I could literally do some damage to someone if somebody would say something wrong to me after qualifying, that's how angry I was.
lol how the hell is someone pissed off losing pole position if they won the race anyway? The opposite I could understand... I never considered pole position a big accomplishment, but clearly he does.
He'll wind up punching himself out of an F1 career. His dad is still getting in fist fights, and Max has the same Neanderthal approach to anger management.
Possibly. Depends on Honda PU. He appears to lack basics in manners and class. Complains about Renault failure yet does not say thank you after the dominant Mexico win. The team did after but nothing from this entitled child post race. He has skill but is just a skinny bully with a big mouth who needs training in what to say in public and what not to say. We want drivers to be open but there are limits. His threats of violence have no place in F1 but better suited to school yards. He is entertaining lol. Saying you will beat someone is classless and shows a distinct lack in emotional intelligence.
What a couple of Royal twhats. Yeah he’ll damage what, his career...? Usually it’s the wuss who makes the big claims. Losers and Red Bull cow towing to VerTwhatsens. Makes me think they knew and or let Daniels engine fail. Look at crash gate. They were willing to sacrifice one car and let the other win. This isn’t much different. RB don’t want Daniel to leave on any sort of positive note.
I watched Max & Jos closely during his karting times. Max is way, way more calm and down to earth person than the father.
Ah yes, Max shows, yet again, zero signs of maturing. Ocon gives Max a little taste of what Max is usually giving, and Max gets aggressive and physical at the weigh scales after the race. I am in no way saying that I believe Ocon was in the right, but the way Max reacted to it compared to how all of the other drivers who were on the receiving end of a bone-headed Max move show just how immature, arrogant and entitled Max is. If all of the other drivers who have been affected by a "Max move" reacted the same way, Max would be in a coma in the hospital for all of the beatings he would have taken. Thankfully, it seems like every other driver on the grid has a much higher level of professionalism. I am trying to like Max, as I do believe he is a very gifted driver in his driving abilities, however I continually get more and more disgusted in him every time there is any kind of incident. It's all a 1-way street in Max's world. I fear that his level of immaturity, entitlement, and arrogance are too much for one to overcome, at least not without some extensive therapy.
Max was just stupid to not avoid Ocon. This idea that Ocon should not have tried to pass him is ridiculous. If you are the faster car you should try to pass the slower car. Is this a kiddie car race? Max clearly SAW Ocon there. Max could have just let this meaningless car through and then won the race. This happens all the time without incident --- except with Max. No, Mr. Aggressive Driver doesn't like to be passed by anyone, especially Ocon. Ocon did NOT run into Max. Max took the corner away when he didn't need to. Fighting for a position with Ocon was meaningless to his race. This shows a greater lack of maturity than pushing Ocon after the race. Max only has himself to blame.
+1 and Horner is on record now defending Max pushing/assaulting Ocon. They deserve each other. Max has no place in F1 for the next race but for the sake of the show they wont give him a race ban and he will learn nothing and be furhther encouraged to continue his stupid entitled ways.
Ocon was not in front of max. Max owed him nothing and he was a lap down and not a factor. Even if he had passed max, the blue flags would have been straight back out again at the next corner. The move was utterly moronic and the stewards saw it that way too. How this can be used as a reason to blame max is beyond me.
Wait.... both drivers can't be at fault? How many times in Hamilton's career has he let backmarkers through so Hamilton can win the race? Like this never happens? Apparently it never happens with Max in front.
Max helped Mercedes win against Ferrari in 2017. This year Ocon helped Mercedes win against Red Bull this year. Max earned this.
Max got a taste of his own medicine for once and flew off the handle. You think maybe he'd put two and two together and realize he's done the same multiple times, but nope. If the moron would leave a cars width of room when there's a car next to him this wouldn't happen. I'm just sad it didn't result in him retiring, but at least he lost the win. Also glad to see hamilton call him out. Too bad he won't learn anything from it.
Sh**F*ce Horner suggesting Ocon lucky it only a shove http://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/25245984/christian-horner-esteban-ocon-lucky-get-away-just-push
He’s right. Ocon should have been floored for that ridiculous stunt. Glad he’s out of a drive for 2019. He doesn’t deserve one.
Ocon, like EVERYONE else, knows that max doesn’t give an inch, and plays hard regardless of his position at the time. Ocon under the rules can unlap himself, but he should only do so without interference to the race and without causing incident. He dived around Max knowing exactly what max was like, RACED him through the curves, and then, when it was obviously to anyone that has driven any car before that max needed to turn right to go through the final part of the corner complex, where he should have backed off and prepared for the next straight he kept his foot in imagining max has had a divine intervention that lap and changed... totally unacceptable driving, and I’m afraid a few handbags after are the least I’d have expected if I was either of the two involved. If I was Ocon, I’d have been walking around the paddock with my helmet on until Abu Dhabi, because if max doesn’t get you, his dad will beat up your girlfriend!
