That's a good question. I'd guess it'd have to do with expectation of cerification...and liability. "you said *insert part of car here* was fine!

There are no guarantees with any sort of inspection other than "yep, it's not a heap of junk", in my opinion.

If you want an actual mechanic to look, then the recommendations above are excellent. if you want someone to give it a thorough test drive, poke all the buttons, run the top up and down, cosmetic inspection, then there's several members (including me) who are capable of such things. Old cars are my hobby, and with a short list of "be sure to check". I'd be glad to go look.

Is it one of the 13 on autotrader in the general atlanta area? I'm in Marietta. I just did an LR4 for my boss, that turned out to be a pretty big heap of junk (place called Atlanta Autos...one of those "flash" dealers.

If it happens to be a white 430 convertible at Atlanta Autos, I was checking it out for a friend a few weeks ago. I would not recommend it based on indications that it has been living outside for quite a bit of time. Seems like most issues could be taken care of with a good detailing, but many non-stock items make the car seem a little tacky and not so good for resale. Also, as general appearances can often describe care taken, I would suspect that most maintenance has been skipped.

I saw the white 430 and Cali the other day but didn’t pay much attention to them! I’ll def go over again this weekend, never mind driving another F Car.

We're happy to help where we can! If you decide to enlist us, we'd have to get the car here for Wade to have a look though. Might be worth checking to see if the dealer is willing to facilitate the car being sent over.

It's supposed to be beautiful this weekend. Saturday mid-afternoon and later is a little booked up...but I should be around in the AM through lunch. (probably dealing with a mountain of mulch...it's better than crossfit!). sunday is caffeine and octane.

It's probably better. I just looked at the two F430's they have right now... *ugh*. I feel so bad for the 50k mile car.
