She's thinking either of this color or pink. It will be a full hot rod. We're putting in a 500CI Cadillac Motor.

Jim, I'm sure that it'll be 1st class all the way with you involved in the project.

A quick p-shop to help her decide...

Good choice, I had the Caddy 501 in an 1976 Eldorado that thing CRUISED!

The 4BBL carburator was $600, back when that was real money!

Its a tough decision, i think both colours are just as impressive!

The blue may seem more appealing to people maybe but at the end of the day, it's your wifes car and she should go with what she wants!

    Awesome!

If your going for a real hot rod look you have to paint the car yellow or red instead of the pink. Nice choice!

More like it...the original shades from that era were mostly pastels but some unusual vibrant shades occured as well...

I'd imagine Mrs. G will carry in a bottle of her favorite Revlon nail polish and color match some PPG finishes to that! LOL!

The 500 cubic inch Cadillac engine was the largest carbed motor of it's day.....it could induce front wheel burnouts on my Eldorado when you stood on it........

You could turn some heads, with that trick.......

He'll probably need to tune traction in the convertible by adding some sand bags to the trunk over the rear axle....

    Very cool!

I want to find a '56 Chevy for my dad. I would love if I could afford to buy him a fully restored '56 in a few years. He deserves it and would be so caught off guard.

Nice to hear you're doing it the old school way, rather than just dropping in a crate motor like a lot of people do these days. Then again, I'd expect nothing less from Napolis.

I think like this kind of 50s style pastel colour pink would be better fitting (maybe easier on the eyes??).

Hope to see this updated with pictures often!
