"Oh boy" ....this should be fun , new car buying today with Amanda, the sales people will ignore her ,she will walk around ,some junior will talk to her with little comment from Amanda and then we will move on with brochures .......................NOT realizing she could outspend 90% of other customers .

A smart dealership would have prepared lunch with French champagne and have a fleet of cars delivered to "the white house " before 2.00pm Oh well ..

It's all true ,they can never pick her out as a buyer ..and she just walks off.

If she walked into your shop....you... with your sunnies on and straw hat on would just go back to reading the race guide in the paper and sip on your coffee ..

I've only ever come across ONE guy selling cars who could pick a buyer out of any crowd ...............and it's NOT you.!

I'll give you an example of a salesman at around 5.00pm this afternoon ..

I went to Grand Motors on the GC some 10 years ago , well dressed and family in tow ........... young girl salesperson looked me up and down and said "maybe you'd be happy with the second-hand cars outside" ........... so, put family into car, drove up to BMW dealer, they give the then wife a coffee, my boy gets a windbreaker and I buy a 5 series ...... then drive back to Merc dealer with new BMW to see the sales manager and relate the story of how to treat customers

 

I'm cheap. but I'm not easy!
Similar thing happened to me at Mazda. Wouldn't let me drive the new Rx-7 Turbo (1987), so when I bought the Ferrari (for less money), I went around and showed it to them.

 

My brother use to work at the big Merc dealer in Sydney, saw some hick come in one day and the young sales guys ignored him whereas the older sales guys RAN out to him, offered him a sitdown talk and bought coffees ........ you guessed it, cow cocky dressed like a slob but heaps of money

 

The Mercedes Benz experience today was great ,it helps when the sales person has been selling to the same family group for decades ..

Volks dealer nothing special

porsche's waitinglist is 2 years long.. they don't need the bs chasing..

 

i always get good reception..as they thought i am from China..
until i open my mouth..
..then it came ....'just have a browse and let me know if you need anything..'

 

Not on all models ..Just found it odd , sales guy I've bought 2 cars off in 30 months and no follow up !
