During removal of my Speedometer I came across a small ligth/ilumination receptacle underneath the "object holder/pocket" that is located to the left of the steering column. I removed it to see if I could reach behind the instrument cluster,.....so once I pulled it down (2 screws only) I noticed two wires leading to this ligth/bulb socket thing. It points down towards the floor, so I assume it is for ilumination only. Is this correct? Also, what type bulb will it take? Any help is appreciated.....thanks!!

    Claudio,

It sounds like you found the "Inspection Lamp Socket." The inspection or emergency lamp plugs into it.

    Thanks Guys....
I'm not sure if I have one of those ligths.....will check in my "tool kit".
Speedo is on its way to Mo Ma in Albuquerque NM for re-screening, and calibration...also will set milleage to correct number.
    Thanks again.
