I'm thinking of switching over to mobil 1 in my 97 355. Just wondering if anyone has been using a full synthetic in thier car, and if so have you had a problem with oil leaks?

use Mobil 1 10w-30 in my 91 348. No leaks that I know of (knock on wood). Next change I am going to 0W-40 just to increase operating pressure a tad. Full synthetic of course.

The car came from the factory with synthetic, its the only thing you should be using. The car runs very hot, you need the protection of a synthetic at these temps.

Lots of people, including myself, have been running Mobil1 0W-40 in both 348s and F355s -- maybe even other Ferrari owners use it (I don't know.). This is because the 0 number allows for increased oil flow at cold engine temperatures, which is when most engine damage occurs. Thus it is the best oil to protect your engine.

    I've run 0W-40 for about a year and I haven't had a problem.

There are many threads on Mobil10W-40 in addition to oil education threads in general that might give you more information if you don't get what you're looking for here.

I'm using 0W40 in my '96 355B (been almost year), including 2 track days in July (track temps over 100 degrees). Engine runs fine, oil pressure is fine, oil temp fine, oil doesn't look any dirtier than the day it was put in.
