Mondial 3.2 Restoration, Rebuild and Repaint

Finally completed the project and got around to putting the last day 9 (of 9) video together of the 88 Mondial coupe we had a great experience restoring the exterior and interior, having the engine rebuild along with a full repaint.

Great fun transforming something that was a basket case into a very nice Mondial.

If you remember the car was a non runner, that was due to bent valves in the engine, so it was rebuilt and they were all replaced.
Engine out cleaned up and belts/pipes replaced. Engine bay repainted
There was a couple of rust patches to the exterior bodywork and some obvious poor paintwork from panels having been painted previously over time, so it was repaired and given a full respray.
Interior was stripped out and redone. Wheels repainted.

It turned out to be a decent Mondial and I was highly impressed how nice it was to drive.

 

Keep eyed Yes the horn was suffering from a bad throat and a bit temperamental. I did switch over the steering wheel with My Testarossa, if you watch the earlier videos you will see it had the correct 3.2 mondial wheel (same as a TR) my TR had the 512TR/348 Mondial T wheel and I preferred the look on the Mondial than the Testarossa hence I switched it over.

 

Also keen spotting that, needed a thumbnail pic and didn't have a decent side view of my 3.2
