Looking at a few cars and was wondering did the fuse box suck on all the cars (8, QV, 3.2) or were mods done by the factory during the production run? Thanks!

Factory went to a better fusebox in mid/late 3.2's, I believe, utilizing the improved colored plastic fuse with spade type connectors. The loom connector still remained a weak point prone to overheating if the connectors got loose or corroded (photo attached, not my car), but the fusebox overall was very much improved over the earlier ceramic bullet fuse type. This overheat happened to me once so far in owning a 3.2 car the past 8 years.
    hope this helps
