    Hi guys,

I am looking for a crap/knackered/rusty/crashed(but not too bad) UK registered Mondial (it must NOT have been "scrapped" with the DVLA - ideally on a SORN which is a Statutory Off Road Notification for readers who are not familiar with the UK). In other words cheap and nasty. I need this as soon as possible to further my Mondial projects. I will turn this sad car into a renewed sexy beast, but first of all I need the poor ugly duckling.

NitrousFerrari posted in the UK section for me but no response so far:

All suggestions will be considered. Thanks for the anticipated help.

I guess the best place would be E-Bay or try Eurospares

Thanks for that suggestion. I am keeping an eye on eBay and regularly checking the usual breakers. However I could do with some advice as to how to check the auctions as this could be a good place to find a car because I am not too bothered about condition. Also if anyone privately hears of a car that matches my needs I would be grateful.

Does the car need to be right-hand drive and located in the UK? If not, a great site to look for cars is www.mobile.de, which should have several available, but you might need to ship it from Germany or drive it home.

    Good luck,
    RS6bird

    I would appreciate the help.
    Anything from this upwards:

In reality I am prepared to consider anything, however, as you know, I am not interested in the bodywork or the interior. It would be a plus if it had running gear but not essential. It must not have been officially scapped because eventually it would return to the UK and with a logbook it is so much cheaper and less hassle to get it back into the country. So up to say 7500GBP for a rusty QV runner would be fair.

Alternatively something like this bought with a UK partner (to part the car out leaving me with my bits) would work:

I am still in Singapore and plan to be for some time. Shipping is not a problem for me as I seem to constantly have cars floating around somewhere or other.

Thanks for the link, that could come in useful for the next one. Unfortunately this particular project needs a UK registered RHD car.
