    Hello all, I am posting some pix just to confirm that stackhouse is absolutely correct. You can service the front of the motor including the timing belt without motor removal. This is not a cakewalk, as it involves fuel tank removal. However, there are times when this method makes a lot of sense. Please note, this car was put away wet and treated like a donkey, so most of your cars will look nicer inside than this.

    I understand if anyone opposes to using vice grips. As stated in a previous post, I too cringed at the thought. I did however get the method from the Ferrari 360 service manual. This is how they presented the holding of the cams. I figured if Fcar themselves do it, why not me. Please not the plastic spacers that prevent excessive cam sprocket deflection. I only tighted the vice grip enough for a tight hold. No more than absolutely necessary.
