    Hi Armen

Firstly, my pleasure and secondly (excuse the Kiwi slang) I don't know if I can be arsed listing several hundred Mecum results so I second the Hammerprice app. I usually avidly watch Bonhams, Gooding and RM, this year added Broad Arrows but Mecum is usually a hot mess with lots of frankly awful resto-mods, used cars and sub 50% sell through rates and ever changing lot lists. That said they did offer 30 - 40 Ferraris and perhaps ten cars worth looking at but DL Hammerprice and tune in August 2023 when I offer a similar coverage once again.

Well, heel and toe is a given with a manual but left foot braking on top of that is hard, in some cases impossible.

Wondering what was behind the soft price of 280K for 250 GTE 4753GT at Gooding. Seemed a pretty decent car.

What's the consensus? Is a rising tide that raises all ships? Is the market softening? Or is it a car by car market? Has the generational shift happened, i.e., F40s are hot, old bangers are not?

My guess is like me you are both old and old school ;). I love doing heal-toe in my GTC. And just pulling the stick shift enough to "feel" the gear just to make sure the revs are right without a rough grind. Not gonna win any races or set fast times but damn......it sure is fun!!!

That car is pretty jacked up with its checkered history. Surprised it made that much

The trend towards modern classics (post 1980s) is forever growing as witnessed by the $5mm F50 at Broad Arrows and F40s now well over $2 mmm. But for all that rarities from the old world and full classics like Duesenbergs are still where the big money is at. Proof of that is in Gooding and RMs top lots were 1930s and 1950s and the average of the top ten was 1947 with the entire top ten built between 1924 and 1958. Even more common classics such as Mercedes 300SLs and Ferrari 275GTBs were strong. Cracks are showing at both ends of the spectrum with some early Ferraris proving tough sales at Bonhams and Gooding as did so many of the modern classics with the various McLarens and Lambos at Mecum and elsewhere failing to sell. So while this was a record setting year for Monterey I do believe that buyers are now savvy and connected enough to know what everything is worth and only bid it to that amount.

Seems like the prices on the BB's, C/4, 250 GTE were softer than last year.
As expected, great cars always bring great money.
Surprised that the 308-328-355 crowd was so strong.
Makes sense to me. But I am at the age where I don't really care what the market says. I just drive them and enjoy that at face value.

The 330 GT 2+2 at Gooding may have set a new record? There is a 512 BB on BaT presently with strong interest.

So does it have its correct engine and matching #? Seems like it was a great buy since it's classiched..and eligibe to all of the best event (LMC, Tour Auto, Goodwood..). If you want a car to drive and not park to make a profit, this was a great buy.

0774 TR sold for $75 million according to Barchetta here. If correct is 0774 TR the most expensive Ferrari ever sold?
