Does anyone know if more Dinos have been headed to the block simultaneously before? The “Lost and found” 206 will be interesting to watch!
I presume he is referring to 00268 being sold by Broad Arrow, as that is the only 206 listed. Obviously the car is worthless now. We all know that Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Mahadeva, Swami Vivakananda, Moses, Sai Baba of Shirdi, The Pope and all souls exalted into sainthood, Joseph Smith, L.Ron Hubbard, and every other spiritual leader I forgot to mention along with Enzo and the spirit of the late Dino Ferrari deliberated themselves into exhaustion over which $20 (at the time) set of tools went into each and every car that was built in Maranello.
Is this going the be-all and end-all of Dino extravaganza to the infamous : What Happened with Dino Values!!! ? After this Dino free for all, a veritable Dino orgy, where there is one for every pocket, knowledge or none. I think many, many pages of opinions will be written. All will be right, and some or most will be wrong. Will this be the bottom line? I seriously doubt it, and we'll be back to where we started, except this time you must add, location, liquor, length, and ladies. The four horsemen of the apocalypse. Particularly, "honey, it is such a cute car", revisited. This sale may be the defining sale? Nothing below 400K, and the sky is the limit. I would pay to see them all, but alas, not there. 10 Dino for sale! Shouts the 'barker'. Come hear all about it, fresh off the presses. Best to all sellers and buyers! Methinks, sellers will do better. Regards, Alberto
I can't believe I missed that. I suppose with all of the hype about the Walter Medlin cars, my eyes automatically blocked the view of that one from me. I can only presume Edward 96GTS was being facetious as I was in my response to his statement which I incorrectly assumed was about 00268 which did have a tool roll present. As abysmal of a starting point that 00212 is, it absolutely deserves to be saved.
now now, dont get butt hurt. just pointing out where the listing may be incorrect. as a seller maybe details dont matter to you.
I'm not offended in the least. Just to be clear: You were talking about the tool roll pictured with 00268 at Broad Arrow?
Different venues, so kinda hard to have 9 Dino buyers and 10 Dinos on the block. I think the real difficult choice, is which auction to go, which Dino do you favour, etc., and how much time do you have to "properly inspect" ? Of course you car 'surf' all over, but pix, just don't do it. A good percentage of potential buyers do not do their homework. Remember the 'droop snoot' Dino on BaT, and what a fiasco it was? Regards, Alberto
The tool and jack bags look pretty legit. The 8/10 combination wrench appears to be the correct Gedore item. The 12/14, 13/17, 19/22 combination wrenches are clearly not the items that came with the car. The jack and wheel chock are reproductions that look too nice to be original. There is no evidence of the T handle spark plug socket, carb tool or lead hammer. What else am I missing? Yeah, that's a real shame....
This is like giving 10 Barbies to your daughter, a real thrill. By the evening, she is so confused, and bored. Now, she is back on the I phone / Nintendo, et al. Way too many Dino for sale, not counting the other odd 4 or 5 that will pop up at the Quail, Concorso Blah, Main Street, "Honest Tom's used Ferrari sales", the stables, the Hotel garage (s), downtown Carmel, in front of the sandwich place, etc. Everybody wants a piece of the action, and this is it. Yesterday, I went to buy a $1,000, 100cc Chinese motorbike for a fellow that works with me. There were at least 200 bikes lined up. All exactly the same, down to the Chinese tires. It took him one hour to figure out if red or blue. I wanted to kill him. He finally chose red after changing his mind 10 times. Dino OD, or "The Panic in Needle Park" Regards, Alberto
Well, markets have fluctuated since we have Documented History. Look at what happened to Tulips in Holland, and its subsequent events, or silver. Gold at $250 avg for 20 years from '79 to'99, now over $2000. Same Gold, different outlook. Regards, Alberto
Wrong tool bag / case (L or M), spanners except the small one, wrong screwdrivers and repro pliers. No weber carb box spanner, no plug spanner or lead hammer. Jack bag looks legit as does the jack itself.
