While some people were showing their cars around Rome, some others were using the cars for what they were designed for ie racing in Monza with a wonderful weather , lot of tifosi to see cars that have not been in Monza since 1970 with John Surtees,,,2 Porsches 917 and a 512S,,,and of course of lot of Lola unfortunately all new or rebuilt and the fastest on the track [same as brand new Cobras in earlier grids..] . One of our mechanics actually serviced the Manfredini 512S in Daytona in 1970,,,and the Facetti brothers were tuning the engines of my racing Alfas [that they built] . Their father was the mechanic that maintained and raced my per war Alfa Romeo as well. So we had 50 to 80 years of car history together. We have to enjoy this because when this generation will disappear no one will remember how it was to race a car in the 50s or may be even a car with combustion engine!! Enjoy the videos hoping you can upload them.
