What would your 308 look like if your removeable glass roof top had the fins of your rear side windows on part or all of it?

Speaking of modifications...my 348 Spider has *magnifying* lens on the side mirrors...wouldn't wide angle mirrors make more sense?

Any clues about what I'd need to do to swap those out?

I don't understand your first post.

RE: mirrors, talk to a good autoglass place. Fcars (at least my 328) has plain glass rather than a convex lense like everything else in the world. I'm certain a glass place can cut you a replacement from something larger, like a truck side mirror.

When I bought my 328 a year ago, the first change was to do something about the ridiculous plain glass in the useless right-side mirror.

I found at Pep Boys a replacement piece of mirror glass, the wide-angle variety, intended for a Ford Expedition! (Anything bigger than the original mirror glass would do.)

I put a piece of tracing vellum on the actual side mirror and traced the outline of the glass; then I cut it out. I cut it right on the first try but you could always repeat the procedure until you have a shape exactly like the original.

I taped the vellum on top of the replacement glass and took it to a local glass dealer, who cut the glass to the shape. Then I stuck it to the existing glass using the double-sided tape that came with the Expedition glass. Total cost, parts and labor? About $25! And now the right-side mirror is useful.

2 things----Not sure how to paste the link, but it's on Ebay item #7990007826--door mirrors Would these fit a 328 US spec car?? Think it would look nice.
Next I was thinking of replacing the amber rear lights(turn signal/reverse) with all red like the inner light. VERY carefully cut out the middle and replace witha clear plastic so the reverse lights shine through. When looking at the back of the 328 it would be 4 red lights. What do you guys think? I have found a set of brand new red lights (2). Would not cut the originals up so I couls replace them if I ever sold it. Thoughts , comments, is it too far fetched an idea??

    1) euro mirrors -- I don't know yet, I hope to at some point put Euro mirrors on. At a minimum I think some body work is going to be involved as the mount points are very different. Look at the original pics of my car and then the Euro posted by Bandit (thanks for that, BTW, great implementation of the lights)

    2) Here the 4 red lights would be illegal. Check your DMV regulations. I like the orange/red lights and wouldn't change them, but personal preference is the core of modding. Go for it!

I doubt it would be illegal in any state---think of the cars out there from the factory with red turn signal lenses--87-93 Mustang GT's for example. Many cars come with red turn signals. Something to think about .
