Track Day Feb. 12 7 hours of track time Small Group One on one instruction One run group All cars welcome For more info visit www.edpracing.com or email [email protected] to register. Other events at TWS as well.
These are G-R-E-A-T events. I instruct at them, and they are literally mor etrack time in on eday than you will ever get in a traditional 2 day event..
What is the schedule for this event (start/finish/lunch break)? I'm not going to run in this one, but I would like to come out and watch and meet some of the people. thanks
I have not gotten the info yet, I would think it would be like TWS Just an Idea. Gate opens at 7am 7:30? Drivers meeting 8:30 Track opens 9 to 12:30 Lunch break 12:30 to 1:30 Track reopens 1:30 to 5:00 I checked MSR website & there is no info, in fact, there's nothing at all. I guess it's being updated as we speak. When I get something from Ed or Mike, I'll post here ASAP! Looking forward to seeing everyone out there.
excellent, thanks MSR's website is almost never useful for info on individual events. You have to go to the event sponsor's site usually.
That is the schedule. Instruction will be available all day long. I still need drivers for MSR, if interested please email me at [email protected] asap. Thanks Ed
I will be one of the instructors helping Ed out. These events are REALLY fun: more track time in one day than you will ever get in a normal weekend event...and MSR is a superp, VERY safe track.
I'm only a few cars away. It shouldn't be a problem to fill the rest. If you're interested please let me know asap. Ed [email protected]
The event is one week away. I would love to have more Ferrari's there. I know some of you want track time. See you at the track!!! Ed
Hey guys, I decided to sign up for Thursday. The 308 isn't track-ready yet, so I'll be the one in the old red 911 that everyone is passing. Looking forward to meeting you guys.
I have been without a connection until this morning, I just checked my E mail. I've been in the dark as for anything regarding this site as well as many others. Just pray the weather clears up. Here's a copy of the E mai that I recieved from Mike. 02/10/2004 Ed sent out a message last night: I have received several emails and phone calls about the event this week at MSR. The forecast calls for freezing rain and sleet. This would not only not be fun, but be dangerous as well. I am going to speak with MSR tomorrow about pushing the date back to hopefully a warmer day. I know this is last minute but who wants to drive on ice? I want to have a fun, SAFE track day. I will email everyone tomorrow with the updated information. Thank you for your understanding, Ed Paez We should know for sure by the end of the day, but it looks like we will be moving the date. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'll let you guys know as soon as I get any more info. Mike
Event WAS called off, due to a high expected tomorrow of ~40 degrees F. Not conducive to safe track driving. Will be rescheduled. All who paid will be credited in for reschedule date, I am told.
Just got my E mail from Mike. I received the word from Ed that the Feb. 12th date has been postponed. Once again I will consider all of you confirmed unless you tell me otherwise. Ed didn't want to move the date again but over 50% of the drivers called or emailed him about the weather. He is moving it at their request. I told him that we weren't scared but he had to move it anyway. Wet tracks are fun but ice is another story. Besides, we just spent a wet day at TWS and it would be nice to run MSR while it's dry. I will know the new date sometime tomorrow. I doubt we will fit MSR in before the next TWS event so I want to give you guys an opportunity to sign up for the Mar. 4 event at TWS. It's only a few weeks away so that should cure the track jones before it gets too bad. I also still need several workers for the Mar. 18 event with the supra club so if you want a spot or know anyone that wants to come work just let me know. Again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this causes but ultimately we have to think about the drivers that make this all possible for us. Mike
