yes, it is a Pocher kit. the basic model is fairly detailed, I would call it a 1:8 scale Maisto, if youre familiar with their 1:18 scale diecasts however, once i saw the photos on www.scaleautoworks.com I had to buy the transkit if you guys become a member to af.com forums you can suscribe to my thread and receive an e-mail notice everytime i post an update!

Looks great! How do you go about painting a die cast model? I have a 355 that I want to paint blue that is currently black. How do I first strip off the black paint, and then what is the process for painting - for example, how many coats of paint do I use, how many clear coats, what are the steps in between the coats? Any sanding / polishing done? What do you polish with, etc. Thanks!
castrol super clean degreaser worked on my 1/24 plastic kits but not on my prepainted diecast f40, i had to get a finish stripper, its amazing, after a few seconds the paint starts to bubble up in flakes, if you get it on your skin it starts to burn - its really strong heres the tutorial im following http://www.italianhorses.net/Tutorials/paint.htm
Thanks! Yep, I saw the F40 being stripped - That paint just fell right off, lol. I'll check out the tutorial. Perfect - Thanks again.
ive got my own website now, here's the link ! gallery is still under construction http://www.supercarfreak.net/gallery/The-1%3A8-F40

can't edit my old post, here's the correct link to the full gallery http://supercarfreak.net/gallery/album352 also, it'd be great if a mod could move this to scale models. thanks.
the stocking was a great idea. This is one of the greatest model projects I've seen. Keep it up - can't wait to see the finished product
thanks. the stocking idea was actually straight out of my transkit's instructions, not only did it tell me to do that, but it supplied me with exactly enough material for 2 seats. those crazy german engineers!
