just tried it on Thursday. My iPhone 12 Pro with a case fits flat in that tunnel pocket. So I think it’s perfectly fine unless you have a very large phone.

Two things, 1) similar options in Ferrari are many times more expensive, and 2) Ferrari breaks down options even more minutely and charges an arm and a leg for each and every bit. For example, in Porsche, interior leather options are a few in total whereas my head is spinning to understand which option is for which section of the interior in 296. The clunky configurator with colors that are so far removed from actual colors makes it that much more difficult.

how do you remove it? Did you go through atelier? I like it in concept but don’t love that it matches seat color which looks odd for some combos.

IMO option either leather roof or alcantara to match the other alcantara you have speced.

The roof OEM material is CRAP.

Whats even worse is that on the 296 GTB the roof piece now comes down lower on the A- Pillar and looks even more crap

I’m sure the optional headliner is better, but after spending time with the car, I never noticed the headliner. And as I reflect about my Lusso that I drove for a year and 7K miles, I can’t remember exactly what the headliner was.

Guess I’m more focused on other things in the car.

The obsession with the headliner material amuses me. The last 4 Spiders always had the std. headliner material. Top down, never cared.
I guess you spend your money wherever you think it makes a difference.

Cheap scourer looking / feeling material doesn't have a home on a 300 k plus car...........

Plus its doesn't exude any of that beautiful smell that leather does.

Either way yes each to their own but more often than not a good salesman will point it out. On the 296 its worse as it comes down the A-Pillar and if its like the 488/f8 you also have the A-Pillars in leather , sun visors in Alcantara / leather and if you picked stitching it will highlight the leather cuts

I laugh whe I see “no cost option” or “free” options like CarPlay or rear camera. Yes both are standard now but the base price is increased accordingly. This was evident with my new f8 incoming. No free lunch with any of these high end manufacturers.

I agree with you in regards to the Spider -the headliner material is not nearly as important as the coupe as there is no stitch pattern on the headliner of the Spider. In the coupe, if you go with leather or Alcantara headliner you can see the contrasting stitch color(assuming contrasting stitching is optioned) and it really looks fantastic. Definitely worth it in my opinion in the coupe.

He knows what he is talking about

Ok I visited today to (nearly)finalize my GTB spec.
Going dark theme from a slate of grey. Are in the garage.

Nero Daytona over Nero racing seats full alcantara with charcoal carpets (alcantara)

    Special requests
    Full racing seat alcantara
    Roof alcantara
    Shields in headrests
    Silver cavallino
Upper and lower dash in alcantara
    Central tunnel in alcantara ?charcoal

    Options
    Grigio stictching
    Pista paddles
    Led wheel CF
    Rear wall alcantara
    Carpets alcantara
    Carbon key
    Afs/lifter
    Upgraded stereo
    Matt Grigio forged wheels
    Aluminum calipers
    Titanium exhaust
    Titanium bolts
    Wireless charging
    Electro mirror
    Front rear sensors
    Rear camera
    STW FULL HANDGRIP IN ALCANTARA

Any pictures of the front camera ? Have it on my812Sf quite helpful but don’t like the little bubble

Nero setoso or other specials would delay too long for me. Rosso Imola is great but everyone will have and my bat mobile 812 SF is going away. I do love a black
Black car. 296 GTS will be a colorful build.

    What do you think?
    Leaving anything out ?
    Radical candor encouraged.

Sounds bad add! What do the shields in headrest look like? I assume special request section is all atelier?

also hadn’t seen the pista paddle option. Those are the longer ones? Thought those were standard, but do I need to check a box?

Don’t prefer the look of front camera but it’s too useful for me to pass on. Still weighing whether I can tolerate the side mirror bulges to get surround video.

if you’re going blacked out, black sport exhaust over titanium would look nice. Assume the titanium still has a metal/polished look, or can you get that black?

Requests can be made by dealer. Don’t need Atelier for this build
If they decline I’m ok and have fall back plans
Titanium exhaust give subtle contrast as this car will be shades of black against me shades of grey F8S

    Pista paddles are longer

Is it possible to order the rear view mirrors in body color rather than the two tone black?

I’m ordering my first Ferrari. A 296. Should I consider the carbon fiber wheels? Is that some thing that holds it’s value when I sell it in about a year or two?

Carbon wheels are new to market so there isn't much consensus on resale. Seems like a favorite option for those choosing the AF package

Does anyone know if Ferrari carbon fiber wheels from a 488 would fit on the 296?
