From the absurdity of my 488 is too fast to watches to a guy posting pictures with show girls and a discussion of EDM, which I have no idea what it is. Quite an eclectic thread.

 

I hope you watch guys do not wear them while you are driving your Ferraris. That extra weight will diminish your 0-60 times.

There's so many sub gendres like techno, house, drum & bass, breakbeats, dub step, trance etc that the generic name EDM was created to kinda encompass it all.

Here in Europe it is called Golf VII R36 HGP, overseas you may know it as a Golf R FT740 HPA (see ).
I have only driven it's predecessor, a Golf IV R32 HGP TT with 500+HP and it was a lot of fun and also reilable.

Great thread and I have nothing new among recommendations to add (997.1 or .2 GT3), but possibly this perspective: I'm in the same boat and possibly more conflicted (see my garage). Keep us posted on what you get!
