Michael you didn't finish the sentence. . . . . . . and ????? and yeah when I grow up I'm going to be one of those "tire" girls too just like he's going to be in F1!! and wait there's more, do I also qualify as a Ferrari mechanic? - I check and do tire pressures on the car with my designer gloves to keep my hands clean I do this on my off time when I'm not working or doing barn chores. (I think he's barking up the wrong tree on this forum.) Carol
Oatmeal just came out my nose! Gotta wonder if poor old casey is serious... Jeez 26 y/o... or delusional. Interesting though,... I was just checking the other site I spend a lot of time on... www.IWantToBeAGymnast.Com... and there's a thread there from a Kathy Putsch saying she wants to go to the Olympics this summer. She said she took Gymnastic lessons at the YMCA when she was 9 and was "really really really good". She is currently looking for a Gym and a Trainer. She's 25. I wished her good luck. Think it's his baby sister?
At 26, I had already quit motor racing for the first time. Somebody should sponsor this guy with: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello guys, Well, I can't predict the future. I may or may not get to race F3 and there is a difficult road to F1, BUT I have come a long way from nothing. That is where I started. I have done racing on my own and traded my way up in cars from the $1500 VW Golf I started college with. No, I never worked on cars in designer gloves. I actually made those gloves myself from scratch. I usually walked back into class soaked in coolant and gas after doing engine out services on Testarossas. Maybe yours. I want thank you. I had forgotten what it was like to be in high school. This is sincerely amazing. Just keep this in mind, THEY came to me. I'd love to continue, but I have better things to do. I am off to physical training. Casey PS. Those people I remember from high school ended up fat and depressed. I worked hard, ignored the foolish ones and achieved more than I imagined. Don't forget Ferrari guys, sometimes there will be the proverbial GT40.
Casey, 1. Please list you 3 most prestigious wins. Followed by you 3 most competitive competition wins. 2. Who are "THEY". 3. You have some ego to compare yourself to a GT40. Please offer 1 experience that would justify such a comparison. Simon EDIT: You asked for our thoughts.... To then call us "High School" because you don't like the answer is quite immature.
...you nailed it my friend!!!!...he thinks James Hunt!!! he even mimics his pictures!!!...heheheheee...he thinks he´s the Reencarnation of Hunt!... Sorry to burst out in laughter and tears but I cant help myself...after the YouTube video Im done for the day...heheeeeeheheee. this thread is absolutely hilarious
Someone else posted the video in the 308 forum, and here's his reply. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137422595&postcount=16
Casey, as a semi-responsible adult I think it would be wise for you to have a back-up plan in case F1 doesn't work out. Have you considered being a policeman or fireman? Or maybe even a Cowboy!
Keep racing, but find a real job. The website needs a major overhaul if you want potential sponsors to learn about you. And I found this absolutely hilarious: "Autocross testing of a race prepared Volkswagen Scirocco. Good footage of hand and feet work in conjunction with gauge readings." Gimme a break! Where's the footage of you winning national kart races, or at least in a modern open wheel car?
Yea right, only this is not high school. The "they" here are mostly very successful, extremely wealthy Ferrari owners and enthusiasts. We are the "UBER they" that you WISH you will attain. And we have a low tolerance for BS.
u guys are all lame as **** consider the following: 1. Casey Putsch has been chosen to be groomed for a future as a Formula 1 driver. 2. casey is racing vintage sports cars. this is tougher than formula unn because it is known that the older cars were harder to drive, could alonslow immediately dominate in the elden chassis in ohio racing? no chance 3. wheras hakkonen had to race fummula uno prior to becoming a real sedan race driver casey has already autocross tested a scirocco which had roll bars. you player hating *****es talking about his open wheel experience - HEY LISTEN UP casey is already racing open wheel fomula fords. i feel bad for u when his gt40 comes to dominate. he not only has a gt40 he is LIKE A GT40 because he will dominate ferarrichat.
You tell 'em, Doc! Casey, this is a tough crowd. You may not have known that going in, but you sure do now! You want our thoughts? Well, you're getting them! Seriously, if you can't distinguish yourself in quiet, under-the-radar venues like VSCDA Mid-Ohio and the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, it's going to be really hard to have the sort of credibility you need to attract "funding." "Funding" for what? for a fancier website? Anther pithy narrated film for your art class? You're choosing to play in a a sandbox that is populated by wealthy, older amateurs. If you were serious, you'd be doing the EuroSeries or even start in the National Class in BF3 (for older cars and private entrants) like you say you want to on your site, not driving cranky old cars around mid-pack in a group of people with completely different goals than yourself. Me? I'm honored to be out there sparring with the "big fish" in our "small pond." It's enough for me to go three-abreast with two other SCCA National Champions into the Keyhole at Mid-Ohio ahead of fifty-plus other cars or have someone I respect like Brian Redman or David Hobbs give me a pat on the back after a hard race. Every time I've seen you in the paddock (and it's only been twice in twenty-five years of vintage and historic racing), you have this "race face" on or are pandering to the various photogs and press people around. Your performance is sub-par and your car never runs correctly or very long. It's hard for people to take you seriously if they are uncertain if you take the sport or even yourself seriously. Unfortunately, it appears that you do take your quest seriously. Good luck.
RACER magazine did an article last year about what it really costs to build a career to an F1 ride. IIRC it was something like $7M to go from karts through a few years of a lesser Formula, and even test or Friday drive for an F1 team. That figure assumes 1) you are actually good enough to win championships in lower formula, and 2) you didn't destory equipment otherwise the costs rise dramatically. A shunt during a Friday drive in F1 could easily cost you another several hundred thousand dollars.
I still haven't figured out by who. From when I first saw the Flat out 308 video I wondered who this guy is. I propose a challenge. I will put myself and 2 other guys from FC that I'm thinking of up against Casey's lap times at any karting center in the country. We'll send the results to Danny Sullivan for analysis if he would be willing to accept them. I figure I'll get lapped in short order if he's really F1 grade, but who knows? Have FF miles, will travel.
Here's my Youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KyKOmEBXwo I gotta go, the caller ID is showing Luca Montezemolo is calling me from Modena! See you in Australia I don't think this thread is going as he hoped...
