so we can expect more youtube videos of you taking to public streets and neighborhoods to race your Ferrari? Is there nothing in you that remotely resembles a sense of responsibility? public safety?

Hey Casey, I've got some questions for you.

    1. Did you or did you not stuff your 944 into a Ohio ditch and have to be pulled out by some suburban, Land Rover-driving lard ass?

    2. Did you or did you not get kicked out of an Ohio Valley Region SCCA autocross because your superbly-prepared Devin-Ferrari spewed its guts all over the course, ending the event, and then were asked to never return by the event organizers?

Yes, that was me in the 944. I had summer tires on and it snowed. I had to put the car off to avoid an accident.

Yes, my newly restored Devin had an original stock breather on a race engine and sprayed oil at an autocross. I stopped running because it was putting oil down. Still beat my buddies in their Porsches my first run out.

That is me, laugh all you want. It is nice to know who you people are, so I can have a laugh too.

I'd be happy to meet you at any of the ALMS or Grand Am events in which you'll be competing.

Otherwise, PM me for some testing dates. No doubt I could use some pointers from someone of your stature and calibre.

If I came to F-chat with my hand out, I suppose I'd have to reveal my identity, too.

You had to put the car in a ditch to avoid an accident? That's given me the biggest laugh of all so far here.

Not good, Casey. Summer tires in the winter=improper preparation of the car. Putting the car off to avoid an accident=accident, not looking ahead.

Yes, Shelby was driving a B car now that you mention it, but when Scott Livingston goes four seconds quicker in a Formula Ford, "winning" doesn't support your case that your talent needs to be nurtured by "sponsor" money, even if Scott broke.

If you had come to the "big" vintage race this past summer at Mid-Ohio, you would have been off the podium in Formula Ford with your times. All on treaded tires and winner Jamie Britnell is a CASC Champion...

Peter, I hear that all the great F1 drivers come out of vintage racing these days. I don't know what you're talking about. Forget karts and the lower European formulae...

You guys are killing me. I've been in my Media Law class for an hour now and haven't heard a word the professor has said. This is absolutely hilarious.

BTW, has anyone thought about sponsoring me based on my Playstation3 racing ability....I'll put your name on my video game racing set up anywhere you want.

Ah, the lad is a student of the Maestro himself. I recall Fangio was reported to have purposely ran his Lancia Aurelia [?] into a ditch to avoid a stalled truck. This happened around a bend on one of Italy's mountainside roads. Fangio had 2 other passengers in the car with him at the time; commuting to one of the races.

    Hello Everyone,

I will either be racing the Can-Am car I am restoring this year or will be in Europe doing the F3 thing. If I am racing that vintage car, I hope all of you will have the guts to come by and say hello. If you'd like to tell me what a loser I am or that my arrogance is consuming itsellf, that is fine. If you won't, then get a life. I'd say that's fair.

Peter, I may very well be vintage racing this year. We should have a beer and a laugh over all this together. I'll be happy to tell you my Euro race story and you can decide if I am "full of it" face to face. It would be an honorable thing to do and I will buy the first round.

Oh, cut me a little slack when I bring out my old Can-Am car. Assuming I can scrape together enough to restore it, I might even be forced to have to drive the thing to the track. And I will drive the speed limit for you "holier than thou" poster. I'm doing quite well for not having the means and you can't very well criticize a man for that.

    Casey
