A long wait is one thing.....no avenue for communication is unacceptable.

I mean the guy called him CRAP in a forum in which he is a sponsor and the guy still won't answer to the charges.

Unless the guy is doing a J. Peterman journey through Tibet, there should have been some response by him or somebody who knows WTF he is.

Given that his last activity was on 2/21/06 I'd say it's safe to say he hasn't seen it to respond; I'm sure when he returns he'll settle the matter, in talking with him he seemed like a very helpful guy. [edit] ok, I see this started 2/21, but perhaps that's coincidence and he went out of town for a few days or had a computer crash, or had a family emergency...just throwing out possibilities, not judging one way or the other[/edit]

As a point of reference to any credit card transaction, The Federal Trade Commission has mandated that a vendor MUST ship goods within thirty (30) days of charging a credit card. If he cannot, he must credit the charge.

    So, be aware.

We do not charge any credit cards for purchases until the day it ships even if the item is 6-8 weeks on order!

Every vendor should do the same.

This activity got Michael Dell in mucho trouble in 1984-1985, and he was on the hit list of every attorney general in the US! He was buying computer parts with buyer's money. Can't do that.

He nearly went to jail. Finding his investors saved him!

So, if it's been 5-6 weeks you should scream about that to the vendor and your CC issuer.

Both of my manifolds cracked about two months ago. One is just cracked but the other has a hole big enough to put my thumb through. After reading about the NAPerformance headers and talking to Kevin, I had a set ordered. They were supposed to show up last week but never did, so I put in a call just to get an update on when they'd be ready, but never got a call back. Sent a PM on Fchat and got no response. Tried AIM but got no response. Finally cancelled the order last week and have a set of Tubis on the way that should be in next week.

Kevin seems like a nice guy and from the users here who have his headers, it seems like he has a great product at a great price. However, I can't handle non-responsiveness... I hope it's a temporary setback and things will get straightened out. If my car was running fine and I was simply ordering a set to replace the stock ones, I'd wait for them. However, my car has already been on a lift for two months, and I can't wait another two...I'm paying way too much for this car to let it sit in a shop, and I feel bad for tying up a lift at my mechanic's shop that could be used for other cars. I'm sure there's a simple explanation for everything, and I bear no ill will for Kevin or his business, it's simply a matter of wanting my car back as soon as possible. I'm sure he'll pop in eventually to clear things up.

    100% Correct !

I have never Dealt with him, but Constant Communication is a MUST !!!
I ordered my Replacement Headers from Evans Auto (Quicksilver). There was a slight delay(Customs) but i was promptly informed by email. My CC was NOT Charged until pickup by UPS. That is the Proper & Correct procedure.

I have bought his headers and love them! Great product and quick delivery. I think that demand outweighs supply right now so the wait is longer. I hate not to be able to reach people as well but I am sure he has a valid reason and I only have good things to say about Kevin. Not to worry

Sorry guys I havent been on here most of this week. I've been out of the office most of this week due to ALOT of things happening all at once both business and personal related. I haven't been able to get to all the calls but am working on it, everything will be back to normal soon. I'm also catching up on emails, have around 20 left.

As far as my reputation plenty people have vouched for me in this thread. Right now we are having a problem getting the collectors for the manifolds as they can't seem to keep up. We're having them coated at two different places so the coating is not a delay at the moment like it has been in the past.

I know any delay in communication is not responsible but look at my track record and in the last 3 years of business minus my one vacation to Florida I've allways tried to respond to emails as SOON as possible. Many of my customers will vouch for my emails at 4:00 a.m. on a Sunday.

If you don't want the manifolds you can CANCEL your order at any time with absolutely no cancellation fee, we are backed up on the manifolds and I'll gladly admit that and if you feel that we are CRAPerfrormance, do you want to put CRAPerformance manifolds on your car?

I appreciate everybody's support and without my customers I would be nothing, if you don't have the time to wait please cancel your order. It makes it easier for both of us. I'll be back in office in the morning so call me at 405-410-8149 or shoot me an email (if you already have it'll be answered by then)

When I logged on 2/16/06 I didn't have a chance to read the forums. If you guys want me to get into detail as far as personal/business related issues I've been having feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll gladly tell you what was holding me up and I'm sure most would understand, but if not whatever.

Also Aaron you were a VERY patient customers but please note that I refunded your money over a month ago and I still haven't seen the product back. As you stated some things are out of my hands and that's just how or situation turned out unfortunantely, just like you not being to able to return a product you've received refund for is out of your hands. I understand that the weather is out of your hands nor do I expect you to drive up in the mountains and risk your life to send me a product back. Most of your order was out of my hands but I give SOME of the parties involved the benefit of the doubt.

BTW does anybody have any used Enzo parts for sale ;)

BTW FWIW we are going to be keeping an extra 10 manifolds (7 5.2's and 3 2.7's) in stock as soon as we catch up to stop all future delays) Unfortunantely we're in that position right now where as soon as we get one finished we get 5 more orders. Never thought I'd say this but I hope it slows down. I do have the options of getting them mass produced but that would drive quality down and it's not an option I want to seek.

Just responded to EVERY email in my inbox and 0 unread messages. If you haven't received something back yet then it's in my junk folder that has 1,165 messages since the 21st so I have no reasonable way whatsoever of looking through it OR the email did not go through and needs to be resent. I also haven't been able to reply to the thread-originators email because ALL emails are being bounced back purposely. I'm not sure how you expect me to respond when you have me ignored.

Kevin appears good and I would always give a sponsor with loads of positive previous comments the benefit of the doubt, but I think Ricambi has dibs on that title (customer service). I don't see how Ricambi can keep up the standards he has set for himself for the long haul. When I need some new performance parts I would gladly go through NAPerformace. It is true that the Ferrari world is a small community and both NA Performance and Ricambi America do an outstanding job of keeping us picky owners happy as best they can (and much better than I ever could)!

I am going to play the devils advocate here...

If you paid in full, I'd be kinda tweeked.

I understand a company taking deposits (for those that don't know I ran a Ferrari diecast business for many years) as we took downpayments on large and expensive items. These items ran up to $10k or so and had to come from Europe. But we never took full payment up front.

On one hand I understand the delays, as we had NO control over delivery, but on the other hand the customer has a right to be frustrated...even more so if he paid in full.

And I think Kevin has acknowledged the delay and frustration of the customer. He has offered a reasonable date to expect delivery, and offered a refund if the buyer wants to cancel the order. In my opinion Kevin has done the best he can in a situation that he has also become somewhat at the whim of others (his supplier). He has stated that he would rather have the delay and top quality products rather than mass produced and available products of lower quality. It is a business decision to decide what type of customer he is marketing to (the type that want the best products even if a few month wait is involved).
