Hey, thought i'd try to get everyone reaquainted with eachother... btw, im formally 'bmwm3n528' from early fchat.
At present, Ferrari-less in Cary. superX: do you drive a yellow Lamborghini? I've seen one around Cary, and on Davis Drive. I'm assuming that must be you as there aren't many Lamborghinis in the area (at least I haven't seen many).
Don't forget me in Greensboro - 348 Spider - Hello to Santini and Bob - Let me know when your passing by G'boro. That goes for anyone else - Any excuse to talk cars.
Hey David. Glad to see you aboard. I'll be taking another trip out there weekend after next (I think) for another soccer tournament. Hopefully it won't be snowing yet.
Cool! It must've been you that blasted past me a couple weekends ago when I was sitting at the Lake Pine Drive intersection in Apex. You were heading east on NC64 with the pedal to the metal and, man, did that car sound awesome! I mentioned to my son who was with me, "THAT'S how you drive one of those!"
Located in Asheville NC....no Ferrari at the moment, but I plan on buying a 348 or 355 if it is in the budget. Current car is a CLK-430 and ML-320
1999 550 Maranello - black with black interior, FHP and carbon fiber package. Located in Charlotte. Still looking for recommended mechanics in Charlotte..... David
Dwood1969, I see your still looking for a "reommendation" for a mechanic in Charlotte. As much as you may not like it I think you will need to come to Greensboro like many of the others in and around Charlotte/ Lake Norman. I checked around after your first post on this and could not find anyone that came with good reommendations. There are people there but I guess not anyone that has a great reputation. I know the best in G'boro. The dealership (FCI) can also do the work properly. Just means having the car transported over if you do not want to bring it yourself. Sorry I can not be of more help.
worth it, Thanks for the info. I think you are right - there doesn't seem to be anyone in Charlotte with a good reputation. I have contacted a gentleman in Asheboro who came recommended by the guys at Sport Auto and I will be taking the car to him in the next few weeks. We will see how that goes. The reason that this guy is appealing is that he used to be in Charlotte and is talking about moving back in the near future (which would be nice). Thanks for looking around for me. If you do ever hear of anyone that is good please let me know. Thanks again....
super x...i know your car and it is a good one! flew to newport beach to see it at franchochamps. it is a properly set up and restored 4 valve!!a bit ironic that it ended up in nc! almost ended up in charlotte. i am now in san diego but still have a house and cars in nc...hope to be home soon. glad to see there is finally a nc ferrari group beginning to form!! have fun guys...see you soon. pcb
dwooo, when you go to take your car to ashboro...say hello to my boxer for me. i'm beginning to miss it! pcb
I'm new here. I'm in Winston Salem. I am planning one day to find the perfect F40 for my garage, but I'm currently helping a friend with a 512TR. He bought it back as a repaired salvage car, and there are a few things left to do. Anyone here have a source for a rear glass? Anyhow, nice to meet everyone! Ed
ferraripete - yep, that's my car. Rod (Drew) did an first class resto. The car is simply awesome. I'd like to see more activity in NC also. Dennis
dennis...yes a great countach! actually the best i have seen and as a matter of fact i should have bought the car myself!! use it in good health. i hope to be back in nc in the next 6 months. lets see if you and i can get some events started. they do such a great job out here in so cal.
dennis...one more thing. i am glad your car is so good...i hate having to say how much i like a persons car knowing its a dog. ...not the case w/ yours! pcb
