My 458 has the Carbon Fiber door sash (carbon fiber on the frame of the car when you open the door). The Carbon Fiber has the word "Ferrari" attached. My shoe caught the chrome and pulled it off the carbon fiber. It appears that it was originally glued on. Does anybody have any recommendations for an adhesive to put it back on? Thanks!

No joke, gorilla glue. It's what high end shops use on custom interiors

Gorilla glue is great but do not apply to much as it expands as it hardens and become visible st the edges

Would love to access the Ferrari braintrust here. I have bought Gorilla Glue before and found it 'lacking' In fact even Krazy Glue(TM) seemed to have lost it's same insane stick behavior I remembered (hence buying Gorilla Glue in the first place)

I assumed the ethyl cyanoacrylate was diluted due to (perhaps legal liability?) -

Doing some searching I bought Starbond EM-600 which 'claims' to be 'industrial grade.'

I admit it may have been placebo, but it did seem much more 'potent' and exactly how I remembered Krazy Glue in the 80s.

Would love to hear if I"m wrong and it's just me?

It's just you..that crap will bond your hands in seconds..

Gorilla glue is incredibly strong ( I mounted a huge 24" shark jaw with it)

Most people do not apply it properly.

Now if you want to go crazy, use HYSOL. They bond aircrafts with it...

That is totally.overkill though and gorilla glue will withstand heat, elements etc.

+1 on Gorilla Glue - I just used it for the first time on some plastic bits (non-Ferrari) and was amazed at how easy it was to use (you can easily rub off excess as it is starting to dry) and how strong the bond is (I think key to this is to apply to both surfaces and let sit for 2 mins before combining surfaces, as detailed in instructions). Great stuff!

I've had the same luck with Krazy Glue and even Gorilla glue. Use them as directed and usually a fail. Older stuff would bond anything. Spend some time here: https://www.mcmaster.com/glue
