    Hello All

I just got my 308, really enjoying driving it, if you are interested in how it came into my posession read this thread. I stole it from a member here named climb LOL

My car is a euro grey market car, a couple of questions:

    1) Did the 84 euro cars have the muffler sheild/cover? I have seen a couple of pics and cars that seem to be missing it. Or is it just not compatible with aftermarket exhaust systems?

    2) Where would be the best place to get little interior bits like a new rearview mirrror, the rubber piece that goes on the rear targa top clip?

On another note I have been lurking about here for about 2 years and I want to thank everyone for their willingness to support and share information. It made the searching process much easier.

I look forward to learning more to contribute.

    Jay

    I'll try to answer.

    1) euro cars do not have the diaper.... cause the exhaust is actually different. No cat and dual exhaust all the way back to the muffler.

    2) T-Rutlands or Ricambi may be your best choice... small trim pieces are usually fairly high for what they are cause they aren't readily available anymore.

welcome to the ownership experience :)

I just had my windshield replaced on my Mondial 8. The original windshield used a different rearview mirror than it's replacement. That said, I could let you have the mirror $75 including shipping if you're intrested. I purchased the new mirror, (Mondial T), from the dealership at a cost of $140 plus tax. I can send you pictures if you drop me your e-mail. Congratulations!

    Thanks

That is intereting I actually prefer the look with the diaper, seems cleaner to me, but I will opt for original.

I am interested in the rear view mirror as long as it is solid and the night dim switch works. Mine is all wobbly and the switch does nothing. Please email me pics.

You may be able to fix the one you have. If you remove it you can split it at the seam and take the whole thing apart. Mine was all fogged up but I was able to take it apart and clean it up. Looks good as new!
