You don’t have to zip the photo files. You can merely attach them, and people can write click and download and save. Also you do not need to turn regular pictures into diagrams. Regular pictures upload just fine.
I believe that the site resizes anything bigger than 800x600 and scales it to 800x??? based on the original size. Not sure if using TapaTalk is different as I think uploaded pics on the Ferrarichat mobile app are actually hosed on TapaTalk and not Ferrarichat. Not sure what you mean about pictures into diagrams.
You mentioned you were looking for another 360 engine photo, and that you turned it into a sketch? My pointers you don’t have to. And I record the pictures that people had uploaded and weirdly saved them as they were, which was a JPEG and put them on a flash drive. Anything I created in PowerPoint was a full page and I put the first script over top of it and save the PowerPoint presentation as a JPEG individual pages. For my main turn on screen, I saved it as changelogo.JPG.
I was looking for a line drawing/blueprint of the 360 engine. I had a good one of the 430 from a poster but couldn’t find a straight on shot on the internet of a line drawing for the 360 engine, so I took a Ferrari promo photograph of the engine and ran it through some generative AI to create a line drawing of the 360 engine which I then cleaned up by hand and colored the intake in red.
Gotcha. Saw these but yours was cool alternative. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Ferrari+360+engine+line+drawing+architectural+sketch&iax=images&ia=images&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fi.pinimg.com%2Foriginals%2Ffb%2F95%2Fb1%2Ffb95b1fd6cbecf9a2002658622788836.jpg https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Ferrari+360+engine+line+drawing+architectural+sketch&iax=images&ia=images&iai=http%3A%2F%2Fferrari.su%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2017%2F04%2Fengine_ferrari_360_modena_6.jpg https://duckduckgo.com/?q=ferrari+360+engine+line+drawing&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images&iai=https%3A%2F%2Faldousvoice.files.wordpress.com%2F2012%2F12%2F360_oil_system.jpg
I had one of my designers create some boot logo options that kinda reflect the more modern OE Ferrari boot screens - feel free to use as you will! Let me know if you need me to email them to you. I've had mine installed for a while now. Recently it's gotten kind of glitchy. First the buttons had a long delay, then the volume buttons weren't working. Restarting the car seemed to fix it temporarily. And the very last time I drove it, it was continuously rebooting itself. Screen would go dark, then boot logo, then go dark again, and keep repeating this. Anyone have anything similar happen?
Only one time did it ever kinda “freeze” for me, but that was on the old firmware. Try the update and see if it fixes that for you - I’ve not yet had any issues with the firmware. Also - here is how the boot screen looks on mine with a basic gradient background Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I just installed my unit last night and first impressions are great. Today, however, I’m having trouble uploading the update and subsequently the wallpapers and splash screens. I’ve followed all the instructions on the website, and I continue to get a message after hitting “update” that says “This data is not compatible”. I’ve tried 2 different USB’s; one 32G, one 8G. Formatted both using FAT32, loaded and unzipped both the update files and some jpeg’s. I tried doing both the update itself, and also having the jpegs on there at the same time. I’m out of ideas. Anyone have any pointers?
We’ll get it figured out. First off, I’d recommend using a brand name usb like pny or sandisk. Download the firmware: https://poweracoustik.com/downloads/CP- 71W_WirelessAndroidAuto_Update.zip Only load the zip file on the usb, should only be what is attached Use the usb connector from the back. Unlikely, because it also won’t read or display the jpegs of the wallpaper or splash screen that are on the disk. It says it’s Version 2.0. Anyone else?
Pashaj, I’ve taken all the steps you mentioned. The 32G I’m using is a PNY. Formatted to FAT32. I downloaded the files you linked, directly from PA’s website. I’ve tried just the zip file on the USB. I’m assuming I’m supposed to extract the files? If so, I did. If not, I’ll try without extracting. I used the USB port in the back.
Disregard my question about zipped or unzipped. I just tried it again, zipped this time. It made no difference. Still got the error message.
Try the long way to format, not quick format. Took 45 minutes but that’s what I did. Maybe you did too, just trying to eliminate all the variables. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Did that as well. Took forever. Just did it a second time now to cover all bases again. Loaded file, unzipped it. Received the same error message: “This data is not compatible”.
Neither of my laptops will let me do that. Anyway, I made some progress, ultimately still failure. Using my wife’s newer tablet (vs my 15 year old Dell that I use to run Durametric for my Porsche), I was able to get the PA to recognize the update, and upload it. Then the unit turns off and back on again, but ultimately acts like nothing ever happened. Doesn’t try to install the update or take me to any setup screens. Just goes back to the home screen as if nothing ever happened. My setting are all erased, but to update. No android auto. No wallpapers. I tried half a dozen times. Any other ideas?
