Double that for me to make it to Redmond but it's worth the trip! Last week for dyno day was close to 200 mile round trip!
Even though E@RTC has been cancelled for tomorrow, Lamborghini Bellevue is still having a BBQ at 11 for anyone interested in attending. I'll be there for sure as they do have some cool stuff to see in the showroom! I'll otherwise see all of you next week with the Ultimate Aero. We will need more volunteers to help coordinate cars that Saturday 3/21 as we do expect a big turnout.
Since the Seattle area was a bit too damp today, we had to call off Exotics At Redmond Town Center, although there were a few hearty souls that manage to roll over to the meeting spot and huddled to stay warm. I want to thank the folks over at Bellevue Bentley Rolls Royce Lamborghini for inviting us to their 'after' BBQ party at their showroom. Michael, Andy and crew, thank you! Here are a few shots from the event, and a few of these spy photos caught me trying out the Mucielago and Gallardo for size, hey it fits me!! I wonder if my F360 will ever forgive me for stepping out on 'her'. Anyway, it was very good time! Stay tuned though for next week, the SSC Shelby car will be at the next E@RTC--rain or shine. www.shelbysupercars.com/ In the event of rain we will meet inside of the parking structure. Tommy will be posting more information later. For those of you that are coming from out of town, there are really good rooms rate at the hotel located on site. Stay tuned for more info. Vic in Seattle PS: Check out the fiber optic star light headliner in the Rolls, a very cool option! This Saturday's event at RTC will be rain or shine because of the Ultimate Aero auction. We will move into the west garage if the weather looks bad. Stay tuned!
Here is the beast. If you scroll down it mentions the car will be on display in Seattle March 21st....hmm wonder where it will be? ;-) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Other-Makes-2007-SSC-Ultimate-Aero-Worlds-Fastest-Production-Car_W0QQitemZ400036942961QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item400036942961&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A317|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1309
For those of you who have a serious interest in the Ultimate Aero, either bidding on this car or buying one, please PM me if you want me to get you scheduled for a ride that day. We're still watching the weather closely. It is now trending towards better weather but is still too soon to call if we're inside or out this Saturday.
Small world, turns out my daughter, now 21 yoa Karlee, who grew up in Tri-cities, used to date the Grand son of the Builder of this car. They are in Benton City, where I first started my Police career in 1978. She is still friends with him and she now lives here and works for me. She spoke to him today and he is also suppose to be coming up. He is working at their shop currenlty. He said the motor is a V-8 that is built by another over here on the Westside. They currently have 11 orders for the car and are trying to get at least 10 out by mid summer or so.. My daughter will be coming with me this weekend to candc@rtc I SURE hope to see the cars and not re-light the old boyfriend light OMG!!
This looks like it's going to be a hell of a Saturday regardless of weather. Me and my car will be out for the next two weeks after this Saturday, however my car will be the subject of next Saturday's tech session at Lamborghini Bellevue right after E@RTC. Stay tuned for that too.
Might I say it took you a long while to wipe that smile off of your face. Good thing your daughter wasn't there to report it back to the misses Michael
Looks like I'll be in town for the event this weekend...might bring old blueeeeee with me! See you all there!
It's looking decent for weather tomorrow morning with a very small chance of rain overnight according to weather.com, so we're going to be outside, same place as usual. If by a small chance it does rain, we'll be in the east retail garage. The folks from SSC with the Ultimate Aero will arrive in town later today. I suggest coming early if you care about where we park you. Also, we may be seeing the news crews and some reporters. The website is still getting tweaked, but we'll have that up soon enough. This is a Saturday you don't want to miss
For those folks coming from out of the area, or have never been to Exotics at Redmond Town Center, Redmond, WA, I've attached a site map of where we meet and also note where the location for the show and spectator parking. There is plenty of parking available for visitors, including the rainy day garage, it just a short walk to the event. As Tom just posted, there is a high probability that we'll meet outside in the usual spot right next door to the Desert Fire. In case of rain, however, we've already secured the alternate location called out as *rainy day-parking structure. I've also marked up where the two Starbuck's are located and Tully's coffee houses. Tom and I, and the regular gang look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. There is supposed to press at this event, so make sure to comb your hair and shine your shoes!!
