New Member - Buying F8 Question

    Hi Everyone,
    Glad to join the world of Ferrari and Ferrari Chat.
    An F8 will be my first Ferrari. I have a Tributo on order but have not locked into final spec. I am not a fan of carbon fiber or a highly optioned F8 but will take the carbon fiber racing seats with lifter, front end lift, adaptive headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and chrome painted standard wheels, rosa corsa exterior and nero interior. I plan to drive (in the mountains) it a lot more than the typical low mileage Ferraris I see at my dealer.

    I do not like the optional fender shields because I think the car looks better without them, but my salesman tells me 90% of buyers want them. Salesman also says most buyers want LED lights on the steering wheel. Would I be making a resale mistake by not ordering either option?
    Right now I am not sure if I will own the F8 for 2 years or 12 years.

    Welcome - lots of F8 spec advice in the F8 section - take a look - led wheel seems quite popular - shields are more personal choice

    Congrats on your new F8. All this is certainly subjective but the shields in my view are a must and your salesperson is probably correct.

    Thanks man, though I can’t take credit for it. That’s the name of an album from the Brazilian metal band Sepultura, circa 1993. Congrats again on your F8.

    I bought my first red car a couple of months ago, 2014 F12…

    Nice. I personally have a 99 gated 360...Well aware of the origins of your name, I once had one of the biggest Sepultura collections on earth and was on Andreas Kisser's guestlist for several shows back in the late 90's.

    A gated 360, that’s a gem of a car right there.
    That’s awesome man, I saw them live many times though was never a guest list. Still pretty cool, most people have no clue about metal music or Sepultura nonetheless.

    I'm not sure they ever truly recovered from the departure of the Cavaleras...probably shouldn't hijack the thread too far though ;)

    I agree… even Roots took a bit of getting used to but the band was never the same after 1995.

    Most resale buyers would pass on a car without shields and LED steering wheel and others will want a discount. Personally, I think you're better off getting them. At some point we will want to sell the car.
