The drive train is Ford 2ltr Pinto, Factory built to 2.1 liters with 5 speed ford T9 ( Sierra) box, Live axle car with of all things a Hillman Hunter diff. The Car has a rather unique history as it was built by the "factory" in 1992 as a show and demonstrator for the one make series, and used on the brochure, which is fun as I got the brochure for the car in the early 90's and was stunned when I found the car for sale and got the approval ( under 25 year ) rule to import it, It will be thirty years old next year so I can put it on NSW historic rego Image Unavailable, Please Login
Unusually for a car like this I have the last 20 years of maintenance and testing records. In all that a dyno sheet for the engine and it’s 157hp but the torque curve looks like Uluru.
The car was written up in 5 magazines, and as recent as 2016 when, a Juno who tested it in 1993 , saw the car for sale, did another test to see if the car was as good as he remembered and he was delighted to say it was. Just as I was finalising the deal the same Juno wanted to buy it.
My CT machine blew the X-ray tube yesterday. New one going in today. In case you’re wondering, the cost is about the same as a V12 engine rebuild Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
