I just thought he was just a fabulous driver. Besides coming back from the accident, he was tough, competitive without being dangerous, and a real technician. He was the complete package and he didn't win WDCs with a car that was 2 seconds a lap faster than the others.
He and his team... big part of the success from what I’ve read is he worked WITH the mechanics. My hero...
Lewis is not in the top 10 or even 20 when discussing GOATs. Niki is definitely in there along with Schumacher, Fangio, Clark, Nuvolari, and Senna. Then lots of others like Brabham, Stewart, maybe Moss. Note it's about GREAT racing drivers which may not be directly related to Championships. Amongst ALL race drivers, not just F1, my GOAT is Sebastien Loeb.
What did Piquet say? He didn't tell the truth did he? That Lewis was an average driver in a rocketship and is a knob?
Come on. You were going to say Moretti would have been the GOAT IF he could get his tyre pressures right.
I replaced the alarm siren today, thankfully I could just manage to get to it without having to take the front bumper off. The Quickjack worked really well and made access easy. I did discover a few annoying things like missing brake and alternator cooling ducts and the AC drier has never been replaced lol. Oh well, more things to tinker with. I’m so pleased the red light on the dash disappeared with the new siren, my OCD wasn’t coping Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You get what you pay for, nothing available here in Oz is even remotely close to the same quality. Speaking of which, I bought these from the same guy that did our switches, sure made putting the wheels back on so much easier Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
dash and those buttons look fantastic compared to the repairs I've seen done in and around Melbourne ..
The Melbourne stuff is ok if you live your life as close enough is good enough. I’ve seen the difference up close. It’s like comparing a Brioni suit to an off the rack suit from David Jones. If you know, you know. If you don’t, then your opinion is worthless
Sounds like you secretly hate that you overpaid. Deal with it. I know you only brought it up so I'd react, but you know I'm right and it's eating you up.
Actually I brought it up. Best money I spent on the car, along with the 360 steering wheel and the Tubi headers and all the Hill Engineering stuff. Gee what a great car it is.
Like I said, if you know, you know. If you don’t then STFU and keep your ignorance to yourself. The button guy was the most positive experience I’ve had with anything Ferrari related. Extremely professional, amazing attention to detail and outstanding communication all the way. I’m not into expecting perfection and then arguing over the bill. The cost is the cost. The end
