Any idea where I could get a feel for how much the overhaul costs would be at 1000 hours, and what the hull insurance is? I've failed to find anything other than insurance companies wanting me to email or call for a quote - I just want a ballpark.

Check out the Diamond Aviator forum. They have a section dedicated to the DA62.

Seems like you have to be an owner to register and ask anything - I "failed" the registration process because I didn't provide my aircraft type and registration and then it blocked me for trying too many times. I guess I'll have to try other avenues.

Interesting. I did not know that. I've lurked there from time to time when I was still a member of a club with a DA40.

I'll check it out, maybe we're looking at two different forums??

Yep, you are right, but you can still read everything, if that helps.

I read through a few threads in the forums and didn't find much information regarding costs.

    That's too bad.

Have you thought of contacting Lifestyle Aviation? I think they're the primary distributor in the US, and I understand they publish cost to operate spreadsheets - obviously, I'd take them with a grain of salt, but it may be a good place to start.
