Described as “an excellent original car” I would say pairing the word “excellent” with this car is just a bit of a stretch. I think they need the obligatory “ mechanics special” somewhere in that paragraph.
Or "panel beater's" special. The panel repairs can be done either with great care and expense or sculpted inexpensively with Bondo. I am no expert but would expect that the damage to the rear end of driver's side door frame will be particularly difficult to repair well.
Once I got the repair estimate on the cost to repair the body, brakes and engine it just made sense for me to sell it as it was.

Adam did a very nice job of cleaning up the interior, but I have never seen that "ring" on the shifter lever before, right below the knob. Was that ever OEM for any model which I may have missed? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I thought that it might be that nut, too, but then that would mean that the shaft would need to be threaded well below the knob.
Maybe the knob is just barely threaded on top? Who knows, it is BHCC after all... the only place in the world where a Ferrari with dents in 80% of the panels and rust on 30% is considered "an excellent original car."
Man they have real balls putting the words “fantastic” and “excellent “ in the description of this car. That’s a car salesman for you! No offense to Adam of course who represented it for what it was. A cool find that needs a lot of work. If this car is fantastic and excellent then my 328 is super duper, fantastico, concours winning deluxe !
No doubt pizzadude! I did my best to not over-glamorize it. It would be a great project for someone who wants to bring it back and has the means to do it.
Hey Adam. After chatting with you Friday at the NCM I looked up your thread here. Great barn find story. Congrats on the find and hopefully it will find a good home. Will get back to you soon on that F-car policy we discussed.
I tried to find Adam at the Bash, but every time I went inside to find him, he was out wandering around. Would love to have talked with him about it.
Hard to believe the Ferrari has been gone for several months! It was a joy to have had it for the time I did! It looks like it has been sold at Beverly Hills Car Club. My other project, my 1969 Corvette is nearing it’s restoration. Thank you all for following along with this journey. See photos below. Couple pictures from work today. So close to being done, but man! It is HOT! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Adam, out of curiosity, can you share how much Bhcc marked up the price from when they bought it from you? I am curious on what their profit margins are like.
