Turbo motors sound like crap. The 288 went that route because it was the most effective way of getting horsepower under Group B with the 1.4 displacement rule at the time, understandable. I haven't got a clue why as a celebration of 40 years the F40 has them, it whistles and farts and sounds like a ricer. Thank god the F50 and Enzo went back to normal aspiration.

The aural noise of the flat and V12 of the past and the V8 of today are glorious, part of the soul of the car and IMHO it would be a terrible thing to loose. Can you imagine listening to the 512's in Steve McQueen's Le Mans with turbos whining in the background?

I dont think I can agree with the statement about the horsepower war. Ferraris reputation was built on racing and building state of the art sportscars, not cars that have 20% less hp and are slower on the track than cars made by virtually every other manufacturer. I dont often hear owners of sports cars saying that their car has enough power, were always looking for more. I too prefer NA cars, and I love the sound of the 360 ( new 04 picked up yesterday, instead of a gallardo). If the production GT performs as in the mags I will feel compelled to buy one even knowing it will have **** Ford fit and finish. 500 hp is almost a must for the new F car.

    Which is crime.

Which is both a crime and child endangerment.

What is not cool is street racing of any kind--independent of whether you win or loose.

Then get rid of it. And get something you can commit you crimes in.
