No affiliation, but Alex Traverso, in Phoenix just did a major on a triple black US '79 GTS. The car is beautiful and the owner is apparently asking $50K.

I am picking my car from him on Saturday, I can check it out for some one if desired

That seems like a low price considering how much the repair costs

Agreed. You'll see it there. Nice car. He may have just been talking but if anyone wants a nice carb GTS, calling him and asking might be a great idea.

    Which was yours? White TR?

Quick question for the GTS gents. Buddy of mine is looking at a '78 Red/Tan GTS, it was originally black though, but the repaint is pretty nice, miles are like 51K, well maintained, with documentation since new. The major is due, but she's a solid driver. $48-50k price range seem decent for it? He's thinking of taking the plunge...

I'm looking at a 1985 308 QV...the car has metric (TRX) wheels and tires on it. I'm new to Ferraris, but I'm sure I've read the '85 should have 16" wheels...can somebody let me know which wheels it should have? Thanks!

Just saw what has to be the best 208 Turbo, 308 carb dry sump, and 328 Turbo on the planet. Alberto from Modena. Awesome couple, he and his wife, will post a few pics when back in the states. Mega, mega trip. Car Guy Tour Frank Mandarano. Alberto was icing on the cake and only happened because of the power of FChat.

my 84 Euro QV came with 16" wheels, has the 16" tire size decal on the windshield. It might have been optioned with those from the factory, but certainly not all Euro QVs had metric wheels.

You are too kind, David. I was honored to meet you, Julie, Frank, Steven and Mary: I had really a very pleasant time with you all, despite Frank O'Leany's horrible shorts... :)

It's always amazing to see that someone comes from the other side of the world and wants to see you together with our famous Motor Valley (that desevers to be visited much more than me). You are right: this is because of the power of FChat!

As for the cars, I dont know if they are the top in the world, but I'm sure they could be very good "world title" condenders: on the other side, the money I paid for them is something that is over actual market prices and is a world title contender too...

This said, the price you have pay for cars that don't cost millions and have "low" prices, means in the 50-150 K range or even 200 K, can depend much more from the car conditions than from the car model itself.

    ciao

Metric wheels were standards on euro cars 308i, 208 turbo, 308 QV. 16" rims were optional

Anyone on here sold their 308 on BaT?

    I’m thinking hard about it.

Any thoughts would be helpful. I’m not looking for top dollar at all and it’s a basic driver condition Carb GTS.

    Thanks!

Just my opinion: It seems to me that they usually get a price a bit less than retail. In fact, several have immediately shown up for sale elsewhere (Ebay Motors, etc.). But it's cheap and fast.

I would think any car with 390mm wheels on it at this point, came from Factory that way, as others have posted.

You can get 16" wheels for it, in fact commonly called "QV wheels", but not easily found, and expensive....
