    It’s not a drip tray, it’s t for covering the exhaust/catalytic and also the hold the diaper in place.

    The tray you are referring to was original equipment to all North American spec. Quattrovalvole. This was not something that someone just decided to stick on there.

    So hard to understand the prices ..such a gap and without touching /seeing cars not sure how to price the next one

    Any one have better insight / tools

    I thought this was a 100k car not 150k

    All you need is 2 or 3 highly motivated bidders to create an auction record.

    Condition of the vehicle, presentation of the auction + one owner = perfect storm for those bidders waiting in the wings for these opportunities

    Thanks for that Michael. I wasn't aware of that tray on the QV as my '78 308 doesn't have it. My previous '77 and '82 didn't have them either. It just looks aftermarket to me.

    I was hoping that car would do well, but $150K was way higher than I expected. Mentally I was thinking $95-105K at the most. The market was hotter last year, and I saw better cars sell for less. But hey, good for the seller!
