There is a thought. Many cars in the market just sit & sit.

    I was.

Let me clarify something: my focusing on extreme pricing is out of genuine concern for a market that's starting to be regarded very warily by potential participants.

It can only be a good thing for all of us dealers, brokers, enthusiasts, owners etc to have a healthy, meaningful, predictable & stable market, right?

Ok I'm guilty of over-stating my point, but examples keep coming up which I feel are appropriate to share. I will stop pointing this out.

Thank you Peter for starting this thread, and lets do what we do - share great Lamborghinis, either for sale, or simply to admire.

  3. Congratulations to you and your buyer. 1990 is somewhat rare. Was there any final changes to the 90 version over the 89?

Good thing I didn't buy the periscopa, that car is amazing, but a very tight fit for me.

Is anything being done to the car prior to arrival?

Yes, we are pulling the motor and fixing the tranny leak as well as a few other items he wanted corrected. It was nice to have the customer, the mechanic and all involved together and on the same page with the car..that way everyone ends up happy!

I don't mind seeing the extreme priced cars, I just got confused because a couple posts seemed to refer to an S1 & an LP400...just wanted to be clear...

Replace whatever you can while the motor is out, you only want to do it once..ie coolant hoses etc.

  17. Add a rebuild on the starter (about $200 at an auto electrics repair shop), make sure the heat shield is in there & in place.

I will document my whole buying experience later with the arrival of my new car, I can tell you that there is a very very broad price in which these cars trade. Even though this thread is great to give an idea of where each variant falls, there is no definition in this market.

Well, there ought to be, and your remark as a buyer is PRECISELY the point and the reason for a thread like this. Long may it live.

    Congratulations & enjoy the car.

    Jason,

    Congrats. Enjoy it.

    Roy,

In addition to Jason, I was also pulling for Kevin (one of your former buyers located in Houston), to buy the same car.
