Well I can say FOR SURE I just sold our Silver Diablo GT and it went for a good little penny, the days of a Diablo GT for under $500K (that's IF you could find one of the 79 cars built for sale) is long gone.

As for the other Diablos, I have NOT seen a slow down in the movement of these cars...if anything it has been picking up steadily in the last 4 months

This seems like a good buy, surprised it's been around for so long. It's even one of the cars with variable valve timing.

I think this one is a world record.

1992 with only 2,500km. HK import into Australia (so a grey market import, but it did not seem to matter in this case, when only a few years ago these cars were unsaleable).
It took a few months but sold for AU$300k.

This in a market where 6.2 Murcies sell for AU$170-AU$180k (perfect, Australian delivered cars, not grey imports) and flawless LP640s for AU$230k.

I am planning on selling my 1998 Diablo SV and would love to get close to that price. My car has some paint work and 16,000 miles but I was hoping to get close to $200 or more. We will see what the market brings!

Go for it! For those thinking of selling, now is probably the best time. Some new people in this market seems to pay anything for everything when it comes to italian exotics.
I cant see why you would not get $200K when 512 TR are getting that price.
and as I always says, if they balk, tell them you dont deal with cheap b.st.rds and they should go on buy a 512 for more money! Lol

I'd love to get an SV. Always was my favorite diablo (after the un-reachable GT)

Honestly, I am in love with the SV but I also have a 1991 Diablo. If I didn't just buy a MKII GT3RS I would keep both! Hard Decision...

Less than $250k, that looks to be a firm data point in a active market......because there aren't many specialty Diablos (GT, Roadster, SV, Anny,SE) you probably won't see enough sales to set a proper trend......we're not talking about 458s or Scuderias with production in the thousands.

If you have an nterest reach out to the owner and see where he stands. Then negotiate if that is where you want to start from.

I think ttforcefed has a SV and he's just trying to gauge the market. Interest seems to be in the early 91-93's and the Roadsters.

I have a 98 that I paid 140K for in 2010 - I wldnt sell mine for 250k....but then again I wldnt sell if for 400k either...I think for 250K that SV is good value - its one of the best cars ive driven...no awd, great sound and its analog...its the only car that comes close to getting f40 type reactions...id personally take the SV stickers off

Would you say it is reasonable that it is worth 50% of a comparable F40 in terms of condition?

I feel like the late model cars (I am biased of course owning a 99) should be priced comparably to a 512M and at or above a Anniversary Countach.

The market moves big and people naturally reject major price swings, and when they persist it slowly makes people believers. It may be another year or two before people start to "believe" that a Diablo that was $140K car 2 years ago is now a $300K car. It will be evident when no one is willing to sell them, and if you want a sorted / unwrecked example it is going to cost what it is going to cost...

I for one would not sell my 99 today for much less than 300K (and I am fully aware it is not worth that in terms of the open market right now). What else is out there that is a viable alternative for less?!?!?
